Answer:

M V R = constant      angular momentum is constant because  no forces act in the direction of V

Since M (mass) = constant

V R = constant

The force is directed along the gravitational force vector (towards the center of rotation)

Billiard ball A (0.35 kg) is struck such that it moves at 10 m/s toward a second identical ball (Ball B) initially at rest. Afte
timurjin [86]

Answer:

Explanation:

We shall apply law of conservation of momentum during the collision of ball A and B .

Total momentum before collision of A and B = .35 x 10 = 3.5 kg m/s

Let the velocity of B after collision be v .

Total momentum after collision  = .35 x 2 + .35v

According to law of conservation of momentum

.35 x 2 + .35v  = 3.5

.35 v = 2.8

v = 8 m /s .

The direction of B will be same as direction of A .

A mass m is attached to a string connected to a force sensor on a rotating platform. The platform’s angular velocity, ω, can be
makkiz [27]

Answer:

The mass m is 0.332 kg or 332 gm

Explanation:

Given

The platform is rotating with angular speed , \omega =8.5\, \frac{rad}{sec}

Mass m is moving on platform in a circle with radius , r=0.20\, m

Force sensor reading to which spring is attached , F=4.8\, N

Now for the mass m to move in circle the required centripetal force is given by F=m\omega ^{2}r

=>4.8=m\times 8.5 ^{2}\times 0.20

=>m=0.332\, kg

Thus the mass m is 0.332 kg or 332 gm

How has the farming industry been affected by the use of fossil fuels?
Mashutka [201]

Fossil fuels have led to an increase in food costs.

Explanation:

Buried organic material over million of years form combustible geologic deposits of organic materials called fossil fuels that can be converted crude oil, natural gas, or coal.

Fossil fuel are currently used as a source of energy in machine and equipment applied in the farming industry. Mechanization has been made possible due to this type of fuel availability thus larger farms have been prepared for cultivation.In addition, other processes such as planting,weeding and harvesting are currently performed by farming machines which are propelled by fossil energy. So in general, fossil fuels in the farming industry has led to increase in amount of crop harvested because more farms are under cultivation and farming process is now mechanized. However, due to use of machines and energy, the production cost has increased, thus to cover for this increased cost, the prices for food products increases, making the cost of food commodities to rise.

Technician a says heat transfer is always hot to cold. technician b says high pressure always flows to low pressure. who is corr
r-ruslan [8.4K]

Both the technician are correct.

All the driving force in the universe always flow from the higher body to lower body, until unless acted by external forces. Which means heat always flow from a hotter body to colder body, high pressure always flow to low pressure.

Therefore the both the technician are correct.
