An atom emits a photon with a wavelength of 260 nm, the atom’s energy change is 7.6 × 10^(-19) J.

<h3> What is photon energy relationship?</h3>

The energy of photon is inversely proportional to the wave length and directly propositional the speed of light.

Mathematically, photon energy relationship can be given as

E = \frac{hc}{λ}

E= Energy of photon

h= Plank's constant = 6.626 × 10^{-34}

c = 3 х 10^{8} m/sec.

λ = 260 × 10^{-9}  m

E = \frac{hc}{λ}

E = 7.6 × 10^{-19} J

Thus, we find that the energy change is 7.6 × 10^(-19) J.

The relationship between pressure and volume, when moles and temperature of a gas are held constant, is: PV = k. We could say th
pochemuha
You can say that if the volume of the gas is halved, the pressure is doubled.

The expression shows that pressure and volume are inversely proportional if temperature and amount of gas is held constant.  This means that if volume goes down the pressure needs to go up.  That also means that in order to maintain the K value, if pressure is doubled the volume needs to be halved and if the pressure is halved the volume needs to be doubled.

This relationship only works if we assume everything else (Temperature and moles of gas) to be constant.

If 14.5 kJ of heat were added to 485 g of liquid water, How much would its temperature increase?
olga55 [171]

<u>Answer:</u> The increase in temperature is 7.14°C

<u>Explanation:</u>

To calculate the change in temperature, we use the equation:

q=mc\Delta T

where,

q = heat absorbed = 14.5 kJ = 14500 J    (Conversion factor: 1 kJ = 1000 J)

m = mass of water = 485 g g

c = specific heat capacity of water = 4.184 J/g.°C

\Delta T = change in temperature = ?

Putting values in above equation, we get:

14500J=485g\times 4.184J/g.^oC\times \Delta T\\\\\Delta T=7.14^oC

Hence, the increase in temperature is 7.14°C
