Which<br> electromagnetic<br> waves have the<br> largest wavelength?
12345 [234]

Answer:Red has the longest wavelength and violet has the shortest wavelength. When all the waves are seen together, they make white light. Ultraviolet (UV) light—is radiation with a wavelength shorter than that of visible light, but longer than X-rays, in the range 10 nm to 400 .

Use words in the box to complete the diagram, and the definitions below it. Some words will be used
Masteriza [31]

The correct words to fill the given blanks would be as follows:

- Peak

- Trough

- Equilibrium Line

- Oscillation

- Frequency, Hertz

- Period, seconds

  • The "peak" is denoted as the highest or maximum point that the wave attains while 'Trough' is characterized as the base of the wave.
  • The 'equilibrium line' is characterized as the extent to which the wave flattens or compresses.
  • Oscillation is defined as the process in which an object moves in the "back and forth motion."
  • Frequency is the amount of occurrences that waves travel in a second which is denoted in the terms of Hertz.
  • Lastly, period is the duration required by wave to accomplish one motion is denoted in terms of seconds.
  • Amplitude is the breadth or magnitude of the waves.

What physics concept is used when designing a motorcycle helmet to protect the head from injury
fomenos

Answer:

Explanation:

From the 1st Law of linear motion which states that when a body goes into motion, it will continue doing so until it is stopped by force. So the body of the rider keeps moving until it is been stopped and the stopping could be as a result of an impact of any part of the body which includes the head it an object. Also the 3rd Law of Motion will also be applicable because for every action, there will be equal and opposite reaction. The magnitude of the impact will be as a result of the force with which the crash took place as well.

When crashes take place the rider does not always experience a head impact square on with a solid obstruction. During a bike crash, your head comes in contact with the ground. The ground exerts a force that causes your head to stop moving. Often impact will be at an angle and may not be head first. It may be your shoulder will hit first, then your side, and then your head will receive a glancing blow against the ground as you slide.

The ground exerts so much force that it can stop our forward motion within seconds. Without your motorcycle helmet, your head experiences a huge amount of concentrated force during a crash.

At a rock concert, a dB meter registered 130 dB when placed 2.5 m in front of a loudspeaker on stage. (a) What was the power out
kipiarov [429]

Answer:

785.398 W

444.5698 m

Explanation:

I = Intensity of sound

r = Distance

The intensity of sound is given by

\beta=10log\frac{I}{I_0}\\\Rightarrow 130=10log\frac{I}{10^{-12}}\\\Rightarrow 13=log\frac{I}{10^{-12}}\\\Rightarrow 10^{13}=\frac{I}{10^{-12}}\\\Rightarrow I=10^{-12}\times 10^{13}\\\Rightarrow I=10\ W/m^2

Power

P=IA\\\Rightarrow P=I4\pi r^2\\\Rightarrow P=10\times 4\pi\times 2.5^2\\\Rightarrow P=785.398\ W

The power output of the speaker is 785.398 W

If \beta=85\ db

\beta=10log\frac{I}{I_0}\\\Rightarrow 85=10log\frac{I}{10^{-12}}\\\Rightarrow 8.5=log\frac{I}{10^{-12}}\\\Rightarrow 10^{8.5}=\frac{I}{10^{-12}}\\\Rightarrow I=10^{-12}\times 10^{8.5}\\\Rightarrow I=10^{-3.5}\ W/m^2

P=IA\\\Rightarrow P=I4\pi r^2\\\Rightarrow r=\sqrt{\frac{P}{I4\pi}}\\\Rightarrow r=\sqrt{\frac{785.398}{10^{-3.5}\times 4\pi}}\\\Rightarrow r=444.5698\ m

The distance would be 444.5698 m
