The three functional groups shown in the image are: ester, alkoxy and carboxyl.

What are functional groups?

Chemical properties depend on its structure. Certain properties, too, are attributable to an atomic group ordered in a particular way, apart from the whole of the molecule. Such groups of atoms that determine the chemical properties of compounds are called functional groups.

The functional group can be on the primary, secondary, or tertiary carbon.

Functional groups are often found on molecules of biological importance.

Functional groups are usually formed by a set of elements such as carbon, hydrogen and oxygen, attached to the hydrocarbon chain, giving the molecule characteristics. Can also include other elements such as sulfur or nitrogen.

Molecules can have more than one functional group on it, having different combinations on it that can affect properties of the molecule such as solubility, structure, or reactivity.

Carboxyl groups are usually seen in amino acids, fatty acids and other molecules since it is a fairly common functional group.

Therefore, we can confirm that the three functional groups shown in the image are: ester, alkoxy and carboxyl.

When 2.50g of hydrochloric acid reacts with 1.50g of potassium hydroxide to yiel
zaharov [31]

1.50 grams of potassium chloride are produced

Potassium hydroxide is the limiting reactant

Explanation:

HCl + KOH→KCl + H₂O

HCl and KOH react on a 1 : 1 mole ratio. They also produce products on a 1 : 1 ratio.

The limiting reagent, in this case, is KOH because it will be fully exhausted in the reaction while the excess HCl will be left remaining.

The remaining HCL will be 2.50 g – 1.50 g

= 1g

Remember because both reactants react at a 1: 1 ratio

In addition, 1.50 g on KCl will be formed in the products

Igoryamba

Answer:

Find the steps and explanation below.

Explanation:

A. Kids make slime following these basic steps;

1. In a bowl, is 1/4 cup of water is added to 1 oz. of glue. Add coloring if you wish to.

2. 1/4 cup of Borax solution, also known as Sodium Tetraborate is added to the mixture and gradually stirred.

3. The mixture is kneaded with the hands to ensure a smooth consistency.

4. Water remnants are discarded and the slime is stored in a plastic bag and kept in the fridge.

B.

What each ingredient does

Polyvinyl acetate present in the glue acts as a liquid polymer.

Borax binds the liquid polymers together.

Water eases the mixing process

C.

If lesser ingredients are used, the slime will not have its characteristic slimy nature. If excess of the ingredients are used, the slime becomes very sticky.
