The capacitance of a pair of a circular plates is(C) =8.90× 10⁻¹¹  F

<h3 /><h3>How can we calculate the value of capacitance?</h3>

To calculate the value of the capacitance of a pair of a circular plates we are using the formula,

C= K\frac{\epsilon_0 A}{d}

Here we are given,

K= Dielectric constant of mica.

=6.

A= the area of the circular plates.

= \pir²

(Note: r is the radius of the circular plates

= 4.0 cm

= 0.04 m)

=  \pi× (0.04)²

\epsilon_0= permittivity of the vacuum

=  8.854×10⁻¹²  F⋅m⁻¹

d= Separating distance of the plates

=  3.0 mm

= 0.003 m

now we put the known values in the above equation, we get

C= K\frac{\epsilon_0 A}{d}

Or, C=\frac{6\times 8.854\times 10^{-12}\times 3.14\times 0.04\times 0.04}{0.003}

Or, C= 8.90× 10⁻¹¹ F

From the above calculation we can conclude that, The capacitance of a pair of a circular plates is(C) =8.90× 10⁻¹¹  F

Bogdan [553]

Answer:

0.4 m/s

Explanation:

Law of conservation of momentum tell us that the change in momentum of the hammer will be equal to the change in momentum of the astronaut

change in momentum of hammer = change in momentum of astronaut

2 kg (14 m/s - 0 m/s) = 70 kg * (v-0)

                                v  = 0.4 m/s

a 0.145 kg baseball pitched at 39.0 m/s is hit on a horizontal line drive straight back toward the pitcher at 52.0 m/s. if the c
velikii [3]

consider the velocity towards the pitcher as positive

m = mass of the baseball = 0.145 kg

v₀ = initial velocity of the baseball = - 39 m/s

v = final velocity of the baseball = 52 m/s

t = time of contact = 3 x 10⁻³ sec

F = average force between bat and ball

Using impulse-change in momentum equation

F t = m (v - v₀ )

F (3 x 10⁻³) = (0.145) (52 - (- 39))

F = 4398.33 N

Each time a uranium nucleus splits<span> up it releases energy and three neutrons. If all the neutrons are allowed to be absorbed by other uranium nuclei the chain reaction will spiral out of control causing an explosion. To control the energy released in the reactor moveable control rods are placed between the fuel rods.</span>
