The electric potential energy of the pair of charges when the second charge is at point b is U at b = +7.3×10⁻⁸J.

Electric potential is the amount of work done in moving point charge from infinity to aspecific point.

Calculation of the electric potential energy:

Here the particle should be moved from the point at the time when the potential energy should be U a

The U b should be the change in the potential energy

W is work done.

(W at a )-(W at b)  = U a - U b

U b = U a - (W at a )+(W at b)

So,

= 5.4 × 10⁻⁸J - ( -1.9×10⁻⁸ J)

= +7.3×10⁻⁸J.

Describe what would happen if you rubbed a mineral with a Mohs hardness value of 7 against a mineral with a value of 5?
chubhunter [2.5K]
The mineral with Mohs hardness would be scratched because the mineral with Mohs 7 hardness is stronger than the Mohs 5 mineral. Eventually, that mineral would turn into dust if you kept rubbing it.

Phoenix [80]
The correct answer is this one:

<span>the continents have moved in the past and are still moving.

The theory of continental drift says that the continents are moving away slowly, today and in the past. In the past this has caused South America and Africa to drift apart, and it is driving the Americas to the west today.
