Answer:

NASA  sees direct proof for the hole in the ozone layer getting smaller .

Explanation:

According to an research in the year 2017 ' NASA confirmed that size of the ozone hole n September was smaller as it was in earlier three decades ago . They found that chlorine from chlorofluorocarbons (CFC) are reducing which results in the depletion of hole in the ozone layer.

Ozone layer plays an very important role in protecting life on earth from very dangerous rays which cause many deadly diseases and many other problems. Since  the world banding the substances which cause ozone depletion , scientists are thinking that by the year of 2070 the hole can recover its size level that it was in year of 1980.

A rock is thrown horizontally from a high building at 33.8 m/s. What is the magnitude of its velocity 4.25 s later?
Alex17521 [72]
<h2>Answer:53.63ms^{-2}</h2>

Explanation:

The equations of motion used in this question is v=u+at

When a object is projected horizontally from a sufficiently height,the x-component of acceleration remains zero because there is no force that drags the object in x direction.

But,due to gravity,the object accelerates downward at a rate of 9.8ms^{-2}.

In X-Direction,

Given that initial velocity=u_{x}=33.8ms^{-1}

Using v=u+at,

v_{x}=33.8+(0)4.25=33.8ms^{-1}

In Y-Direction,

Given that initial velocity=u_{x}=0ms^{-1}

Using v=u+at,

v_{y}=0+(9.8)4.25=41.65ms^{-1}

v=\sqrt{v_{x}^{2}+v_{y}^{2}}

v=\sqrt{1142.44+1734.72}=\sqrt{2877.163}=53.63ms^{-1}

A rope pulls a 20 kg box up. If the tension in the rope is 275 N, what is the acceleration of the box?
Nana76 [90]

Answer:

<h3>The answer is 13.75 m/s²</h3>

Explanation:

The acceleration of an object given it's mass and the force acting on it can be found by using the formula

a =  \frac{f}{m}  \\

f is the force

m is the mass

From the question we have

a =  \frac{275}{20}  =  \frac{55}{4}  \\

We have the final answer as

<h3>13.75 m/s²</h3>

Hope this helps you
