The new voltage value of parallel-plate capacitor is 800 V.

We need to know about the capacitance of the parallel-plate capacitor to solve this problem. The capacitance of the parallel-plate capacitor depends on the charge and voltage. It can be written as

C = Q/V

where C is capacitance, Q is charge and V is voltage.

Capacitance also can be calculated by the area and distance between capacitor plate

C = εo . A / d

where εo is vacuum permittivity (8.85 x 10¯¹² F/m), A is area of plate and d is distance.

From the question above, we know that

V1 = 200 V

d1 = d

d2 = 4 d

By substituting the given parameters, we can calculate the voltage

εo . A / d = Q/V

The voltage is proportional to the distance of plate. Hence, the ratio of voltage will be

V1 / V2 = d1 / d2

200 / V2 = d / 4d

V2 = 4 x 200

V = 800 N

Does a car accelerate when it goes around a corner at a constant speed?
Evgen [1.6K]
Yes, it does. Acceleration is defined as the rate of change of velocity. Velocity is the rate of change of position with a given direction i.e. speed with direction.So even though the speed of the turning car is constant the velocity is not. This means that the velocity is changing, and the rate of change of velocity is called acceleration. Hence, the car is accelerating.

HELP ASAP!! WILL TRY TO GIVE BRAINLIESTT!!
vfiekz [6]

If a cell is placed in a hypertonic solution, water will leave the cell, and the cell will shrink. In an isotonic environment, there is no net water movement, so there is no change in the size of the cell. When a cell is placed in a hypotonic environment, water will enter the cell, and the cell will swell.

What are the 3 Newton's law of motions?
irinina [24]

Answer:

laws of motion relate an object’s motion to the forces acting on it. In the first law, an object will not change its motion unless a force acts on it. In the second law, the force on an object is equal to its mass times its acceleration. In the third law, when two objects interact, they apply forces to each other of equal magnitude and opposite direction.
