The decomposition reaction for hydrogen peroxide is given below:

                                     2H_{2} O_{2} → 2H_{2} O + O_{2}

This is a decomposition reaction.

Reactions in which a reactant breaks into two or more products are known as Decomposition reactions.

                                          AB → A + B

here, AB represents the reactant that begins the reaction, and A and B represent the products of the reaction

The decomposition reaction of decomposing hydrogen peroxide is exothermic. When the hydrogen peroxide undergoes a decomposition reaction, heat is also released along with water and oxygen.

Hence the reaction for decomposing hydrogen peroxide is :

         2H_{2} O_{2} → 2H_{2} O + O_{2}

Identify whether each species functions as a Brønsted-Lowry acid or a Brønsted-Lowry base in this net ionic equation. ClO- + H2P
MaRussiya [10]

Answer:

ClO- = bronsted Lowry base

H2PO4- =Bronsted Lowry base

Explanation:

ClO- = is bronsted Lowry base because it accepts a proton in the reaction

H2PO4- =Bronsted Lowry base because it's a proton donor in the reaction

A hydraulic system is designed to lift cars for inspection in a service station. The narrow end of the system has a surface area
fiasKO [112]

Given:

Surface area at the narrow end, A1 = 5.00 cm2

Force applied at the narrow end, F1 = 81.0 N

Surface area at the wide end, A2 = 725 cm2

To determine:

Force F2 applied at the wide end

Explanation:

Use the relation

F1/A1 = F2/A2

F2 = F1*A2/A1 = 81.0 N * 725 cm2/5.00 cm2 = 11,745 N

Ans: (b)

The force applied at the wide end = 11,745 N

Why is photosynthesis a chemical reaction?
OleMash [197]

Photosynthesis is the process through which plants convert light energy into chemical energy. Here is the chemical reaction involved: As we can see, water and carbon dioxide combine to form glucose and oxygen. Since new chemical species are formed, photosynthesis is clearly a chemical change.

I hope this helps answer your question. :)

A sodium atom and sodium ion have the same
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]

Answer:

a) number of neutrons

Explanation:

A sodium ion is formed when an electron is removed from a sodium atom. This means that the atom's number of electrons changes, but the number of neutrons remains unchanged.

However, as the number of electrons changes, the electric charge and the electronic structure change, which means that a sodium atom and a sodium ion do not have the same number of electrons, nor do they have the same electric charge or electronic structure.

Therefore, option a) is the correct option.
