I'm thinking it's a parabola since you can cover a vast amount of apace within the parabola too.

What is satellite ?

An object that has been placed into orbit in space on purpose is known as a satellite or artificial satellite. Except for passive spacecraft, most satellites feature a power generation system for equipment on board, such as solar panels or radioisotope thermoelectric generators (RTGs) (RTGs). Most satellites also include a mechanism of communicating to ground stations, called transponders. The most common satellites, small CubeSats, use a standardized bus to reduce costs and labor. Satellites of a similar type can cooperate with one another to form constellations. Satellites are made to be as light and durable as possible due to the high cost of space launch. Satellites are launched into orbit from the surface by vehicles that are high enough to prevent orbital decay caused by the atmosphere.

A satellite at a particular point along an elliptical orbit has a gravitational potential energy of 5100 MJ with respect to Eart
serious [3.7K]

To solve this problem we will apply the theorem given in the conservation of energy, by which we have that it is conserved and that in terms of potential and kinetic energy, in their initial moment they must be equal to the final potential and kinetic energy. This is,

E_{initial} = E_{final}

PE_{initial}+KE_{initial} = PE_{final}+KE_{final}

Replacing the 5100MJ for satellite as initial potential energy, 4200MJ for initial kinetic energy and 5700MJ for final potential energy we have that

KE_{final} = (PE_{initial}+KE_{initial} )-PE_{final}

KE_{final} = (5100+4200)-5700

KE_{final} = 3600MJ

Therefore the final kinetic energy is 3600MJ

Which statement best describes how the period and frequency of electromagnetic waves change between gamma rays and microwaves?
Dimas [21]
On an electromagnetic spectrum, one of its noticeable trends is that the wavelength increases with decreasing energy and the wavelength decrease with increasing energy. Furthermore, gamma rays have high energy and short wavelengths while microwaves have low energy and long wavelengths.

A horse ran 600 m in a time of 33 s. What was the average speed of the<br> horse?
GalinKa [24]
<h3>Average Speed ≈ 18m/s</h3>

Explanation:

Distance : 600 m

Time : 33 seconds

Average Speed : ?

Av. Speed  =  \frac{Distance }{Time}   \\  =  \frac{600}{33}

Simplify

Av. Speed  = 18.18181 \\  = 18 \: m {s}^{ - 1}
