What is the volume, in liters, of 1.40 mol of oxygen gas at 20.0°C and 0.974 atm?
topjm [15]

Answer:

V = 34.55 L

Explanation:

Given that,

No of moles, n = 1.4

Temperature, T = 20°C = 20 + 273 = 293 K

Pressure, P = 0.974 atm

We need to find the volume of the gas. It can be calculated using Ideal gas equation which is :

PV=nRT

R is gas constant, R=0.08206\ L-atm/mol-K

Finding for V,

V=\dfrac{nRT}{P}\\\\V=\dfrac{1.4\times 0.08206\times 293}{0.974 }\\\\V=34.55\ L

So, the volume of the gas is 34.55 L.

Given that you added about 5ug of purified acid phosphatase to tube A, calculate the amount of acid phosphatase that was present
Reil [10]

Hey there!:

Amount of purified acid phosphatase added to tube A = 5 ug ( micrograms )

Amount of acid phosphatase present in 400 ug of wheat germ extract  in tube B :

1 / 100 = 5x / 400 =

100 x = ( 0.5 ) ( 400 ) =

x = (0.5 ) ( 400 ) = 100

x = 200 / 100

x =  2 ug

The amount of acid phosphatase present in 400 ug of the  wheat germ in tube B is 2 ug

Hope that helps!

How many cubic feet of air at standard conditions 1.00 atm are required to inflate a bicycle tote of .50 cu. Ft. To a pressure o
Alexeev081 [22]
As I am reading the problem, I see they gave you two pressures, one volume and they are asking for another volume. this should give you a hint that you need to use the following formula.

P1V1= P2V2

P1= 1.00 atm
V1= 0.50 ft³
P2= 3.00 atm
V2= ?

Now we plug the values

(1.00 x 0.50)= (3.00 x V2)

V2= 0.17 ft³
