Transparent and Translucent.

Opaque materials do not allow any light to pass through. An easy way to remember this is to understand that the prefix trans- means to pass or cross (thing about the words transport or transfer). The prefix trans on both of these words tell you that light can PASS through.

How many oxygen atoms are in 68.8mg Na₂S₂O₃ 5H₂O
guajiro [1.7K]
It should be 8 O atoms. 3O atoms in Na2S2O3 and 5O atom in 5H2O.  The reason there are 5 O atoms are because the 5 in front of H2O means you multiply each atom in the compound by that number (like the distributive property). The H2 molecule becomes 10 Hydrogen atoms (5*2) and the Oxygen becomes 5 Oxygen atoms (5*1). Then you add the 5O atoms to the 3O atoms which equals 8

mars1129 [50]

Answer:

Compound A and compound B are constitutional isomers with molecular formula C3H7Cl.

When compound A is treated with sodium methoxide, a substitution reaction predominates. When compound B is treated with sodium methoxide, an elimination reaction predominates.

Explanation:

Constitutional isomers are the one which differs in the structural formula.

When compound A is treated with sodium methoxide, a substitution reaction predominates.

That means sodium methoxide is a strong base and a strong nucleophile.

But when it reacts with primary alkyl halides it forms a substitution product and when it reacts with secondary alkyl halide it forms mostly elimination product.

The reaction and the structures of A and B are shown below:

A sample of silicon rejected for use in an electronic circuit has an impurity of boron at a level of 3 parts per trillion. What
Law Incorporation [45]

Answer:

A. 3 x 10-12

Explanation:

Generally, the parts-per notation is used to represent very small concentration without any specific unit.

Parts per million is notated as 10^{-6}

Parts per billion is notated as 10^{-9}

Parts per trillion is notated as 10^{-12}

Hence, 3 parts per trillion will be written as 3 x 10^{-12}

The correct option is A.
