Answer:

Molecular formula = B₃N₃H ₆

Explanation:

Given data:

Percentage of B = 40.3%

Percentage of N = 52.2%

Percentage of H = 7.5%

Molar mass = 80g/mol

Molecular formula = ?

Solution:

Number of gram atoms of B = 40.3/ 10.8= 3.73

Number of gram atoms of N = 52.2/ 14 = 3.73

Number of gram atoms of H = 7.5 / 1 = 7.5

Atomic ratio:

  B              :            N                  :      H

3.73/3.73    :         3.73/3.73        :      7.5/3.73

     1            :            1                    :         2

B : N : H = 1 : 1 : 2

Empirical formula is  BNH ₂

Molecular formula:

Molecular formula = n (empirical formula)

n = molar mass of compound / empirical formula mass

n = 80 g/mol/ 26.8 g/mol

n = 3

Molecular formula = n (empirical formula)

Molecular formula = 3 (BNH ₂)

Molecular formula = B₃N₃H ₆

How are some mutations similar? Provide examples.
Hatshy [7]

Answer:

Mutations can be caused by high-energy sources such as radiation or by chemicals in the environment. They can also appear spontaneously during the replication of DNA. Mutations generally fall into two types: point mutations and chromosomal aberrations. In point mutations, one base pair is changed. A single mutation can have a large effect, but in many cases, evolutionary change is based on the accumulation of many mutations with small effects. Mutational effects can be beneficial, harmful, or neutral, depending on their context or location. Most non-neutral mutations are deleterious.

What are two ways carbon returns from animal into the water
soldi70 [24.7K]
Split and merge into it. While they are alive, carbon returns from animals into water through waste products from respiration and defecation/urination. Another way when they are dead is from decaying remains. While they are alive, carbon returns from animals into water through waste products from respiration and defecation/urination.

Balancing Chemical Equation<br> C=H2=CH4
svlad2 [7]

Answer:

C + 2H2 ⇒ CH4

Explanation:

In order to balance a chemical equation you need to make sure that the number of atoms on both sides are equal

C + H2 = CH4

C = 1

H = 2

Products:

C = 1

H = 4

H2 = 2 × 2 = 4

C + 2H2 ⇒ CH4

Hope this helps.
