Draw the structure of the major organic product isolated from the reaction of 1-hexyne with sodium amide in liquid ammonia follo
77julia77 [94]

Answer:check explanation and attached file/picture

Explanation:

Alkynes are hydrocarbons and they are very acidic because of hybridization effect(the more acidic the s-character is, the more acidic it is going to be).

The reaction of 1-hexyne with sodium amide in liquid ammonia is a form of deprotonation 'reaction' to form acetylide. Due to the acidic nature of the terminal hydrogen atom, terminal alkynes do form metallic derivatives by the replacement of the terminal hydrogens. The equation of Reaction is given below.

C6H10 + NaNH2( in liquidNH3) ------------> C6H9Na + H-NH2.

The acetylide is a bae and a very good nucleophile.

The reaction is then followed by the addition of 1-bromobutane. This reaction is used for the production of longer chain alkynes. The equation of Reaction is attached in the picture.

The table shows the number of charged subatomic particles in an ion.
Anarel [89]

Answer:

The ion will repel the substance because it has lost two electrons.

Explanation:

An ion is a charged specie. We can see from the question that the ion has twelve positive and ten negative particles.

If there are more positive particles than negative particles, then the ion is positively charged.

If the ion is positively charged, it will repel another positively charged particle because like charges repel while opposite charges attract.

what is the amount of heat energy released when 50.0 grams of water is cooled from 20.0 degrees Celcius to 10.0 degrees celcius
andre [41]

Answer:

The amount of heat released when 50 g of water cooled from 20°C to 10°C will be equal to  - 2093 J.

Explanation:

Given data:

Mass of water = 50 g

Initial temperature= T1 = 20°C

Final temperature= T2 = 10°C

Specific heat of water= c = 4.186 J/g. °C

Amount of heat released = Q= ?

Solution:

Formula:

Q = m. C.  ΔT

ΔT = T2 - T1

ΔT = 10°C - 20°C

ΔT = -10°C

Now we will put the values in formula.

Q = m. C.  ΔT

Q = 50 g .  4.186 J/g. °C . -10°C

Q =  - 2093 J

The amount of heat released when 50 g of water cooled from 20°C to 10°C will be equal to  - 2093 J.
