Why is it warmer near the equator and cooler near the poles?

Physics

It is because the equator is closer to the sun and because the sun's rays hit the surface of the Earth at a higher angle at the equator. The poles are colder because they don't get direct sunlight. The sun is always low on the horizon.

It is warmer near the equator because sunlight hits Earth's surface most directly near the equator. Near the poles, sunlight arrives at a steep angle, so it must spread out over a greater area. Earth has seasons because the Earth's axis is tilted as it revolves around the sun.

If 1495 j of heat is needed to raise the temperature of a 351 g sample of a metal from 55.0°c to 66.0°c, what is the specific he
forsale [732]
The amount of heat needed to increase the temperature of a substance by \Delta T is given by
Q= mC_s \Delta T
where m is the mass of the substance, Cs is its specific heat capacity and \Delta T is the increase of temperature.

If we re-arrange the formula, we get
C_s =  \frac{Q}{m \Delta T}
And if we plug the data of the problem into the equation, we can find the specific heat capacity of the substance:
C_s =  \frac{1495 J}{(351 g)(66.0^{\circ}C-55.0^{\circ}C)}=0.39 J/g^{\circ}C

OlgaM077 [116]

Answer:

a)   m_v = m_s ((\frac{w_o}{w})² - 1) ,  b)  m_v = 1.07 10⁻¹⁴ g

Explanation:

a) The angular velocity of a simple harmonic motion is

           w² = k / m

where k is the spring constant and m is the mass of the oscillator

let's apply this expression to our case,

silicon only

         w₉² = \frac{K}{m_s}

         k = w₀² m_s

silicon with virus

         w² = \frac{k}{m_s + m_v}

          k = w² (m_v + m_s)

in the two expressions the constant k is the same and q as the one property of the silicon bar, let us equal

           w₀²  m_s = w² (m_v + m_s)

           m_v = (\frac{w_o}{w})²  m_s - m_s

           m_v = m_s ((\frac{w_o}{w})² - 1)

b) let's calculate

          m_v = 2.13 10⁻¹⁶ [(\frac{20.4}{2.85})² - 1)]

          m_v = 1.07 10⁻¹⁴ g

Zigmanuir [339]
In energy point of view, the larger stone had more potential energy before dropping. impacting the water, the larger one, having more kinetic energy which changed from potential energy, tranfered energy to the water and formed wave. the amplitude of the wave indicate the energy of the wave. more energy more amplitude.

How many neutrons does element x have if it’s atomic number is 23 and it’s mass is 90
Oxana [17]

The amount of neutrons would be 23.

The atomic number represents the amount of neutrons, so all you have to do is look at it to know. The atomic mass was put here simply to mislead you. B.T.W, the element is Valadium.
