Answer;

Dipole-dipole and hydrogen bonding

Explanation;

 • A solution of water and ethanol contains the dipole-dipole forces and hydrogen bonds as the intermolecular forces between molecules.
 • Hydrogen bonding is a type of interactions between molecules that occurs when a partially negative atom such as oxygen end of one of the molecules is attracted to a partially positive hydrogen end of another molecule.
 • Dipole-dipole forces results from the unsymmetrical distribution of electrons, thus the polarity does not balance, thus resulting to a dipole attraction between molecules.

Kinds of intermolecular forces are present in a mixture of ethanol (CH3CH2OH) and water are dispersion intermolecular forces

Further explanation

Ethanol or ethyl alcohol is a colorless, volatile, and flammable liquid that soluble in water. Its chemical formula is C2H6O or C2H5OH or CH3CH2OH.

Intermolecular forces that mediate interaction between molecules, including attraction forces or repulsion attraction that act between molecules and other types of neighboring particles such as atoms or ions. There are three major types of intermolecular forces: London dispersion force, dipole-dipole interaction, and ion-dipole interaction

London dispersion forces is the force that hold molecules together in the liquid, solid and solution phases are quite weak. London dispersion force is the weakest of the intermolecular forces. It is the force between two nonpolar molecules. An example of London dispersion force is the interaction between two methyl (-CH3) groups.

Dipole -dipole interactions occurred when the partial charges formed within one molecule attracted to an opposite partial charge in a nearby molecule. The dipole-dipole interaction is occured when two polar molecules get near each other. An example of dipole-dipole interaction is the interaction between two sulfur dioxide (SO2) molecules

The ion-dipole interaction is occured when an ion encounters a polar molecule. An example of the ion-dipole interaction is the interaction between a Na+ ion and water (H2O).

Hydrogen Bonding is the attraction between two atoms that already participate in other chemical bonds. CH3CH2OH have H-bond intermolecular forces and dipole intermolecular forces and dispersion intermolecular forces. There's no ionic interaction because we don't have metal attached to a nonmetal. CH3CH2OH have H-bond intermolecular forces because it attached with the rules: H-N, H-O, H-F. The hydrogen bond is always polar and therefore CH3CH2OH also have dipole interaction. While dispersion intermolecular forces are found in every molecule.

For the mixture of ethanol (CH3CH2OH ) and water, it can very easily become a homogeneous mixture because the two liquids are miscible and soluble in all proportions. For the mixture of ethanol (CH3CH2OH ) and water, it have dispersion intermolecular forces

Put the list in chronological order (1–5).
Leokris [45]

Explanation:

Filtration is a separation technique in which solid particles suspended in liquid medium are separated by allowing the mixture through the pores of the filter paper. By this solid particles get collect on filter paper and liquid drains out from the pores of the filter paper.

The chronological order for given steps will be:

 1. Weigh and fold the filter paper.
 2. Place the filter paper in the funnel, then place the funnel in the Erlenmeyer flask.
 3. Allow the solid/liquid mixture to drain through the filter.
 4. Use water to rinse the filter paper containing the mixture.
 5. Weigh the dried filter paper and copper.

Hydrogen has three isotopes 1H, 2H, and 3H. What is the difference between these three isotopes?
Leona [35]
The main difference between the 3 isotopes of hydrogen are the number of neutrons in the nucleus. Hydrogen has no neutrons, Deuterium has one neutron, and tritium has two neutrons. All three have one proton and one electron.

Whats the difference between Homogeneous and Hetrogeneuos?
irakobra [83]

Answer:

Homogeneous - With a uniform appearance

Heterogeneous - With visible differences in the mixture

Explanation:

Referring to mixtures, homogeneous looks the same throughout, while heterogeneous has particles or whatnot.

Basically:

Homo means same

Hetero means different
