Answer:

A_r=6.

Explanation:

It is given that both wave have same amplitude i.e A=3.

Now, we need to find what will happen to the waves when trough of wave A meets the trough of wave B.

It means that both waves are in same phase i.e, the phase difference between them is 0 degree.

We know resultant amplitude A_r of two waves of same amplitude A with phase difference \theta is given by.

A_r=2\times A \times cos\dfrac{\theta}{2}.

In this case , A=3 and \theta=0^o.

Putting value of A and \theta in above equation.

We get, A_r=6.

Therefore, a new wave will form of resultant amplitude of 6.

Hence, it is the required solution.

Answer:

  v_average = 15 m / s

Explanation:

The average speed can be found in two ways,

* taking the distance traveled and divide it by the time spent

* taking the velocities in each time interval and then finding the weighted average by the time fraction

              v_average = 1 / t_total ∑  v_{i}  t_{i}vi ti

Let's apply this last equation

Total time is

               t = t₁ + t₂

               t = 10 + 10 = 20   min

              v_average = 10/20 10 + 10/20 20

              v_average = 10/2 + 20/2

              v_average = 15 m / s

The transfer of heat from the Sun is in the form of thermal radiation (also called infrared radiation)
The transfer of heat at the person’s feet is by thermal conduction. During the day the sand will be hot so if you step on it with bare feet there will be conduction of heat to the feet.

Which one of the following materials would provide the most electrical resistance?
Lena [83]

Glass is the material that would provide the most electrical resistance.

Elements which are good conductors of electricity are referred to as

Metals. They usually have low resistance.

Examples of Metals

  • Copper wire
  • Aluminium

Non metals are are low conductors of electricity and have high resistance.

Electrolytes such as salt water are also good conductors of electricity.

Glass are generally regarded as Insulators and are poor conductors of

electricity which makes it the material with the most electrical resistance.
