Micheal was asked to give examples of the identity property of addition and identity multiplication. Below are his answers.
xxMikexx [17]

Answer:

identity property of addition-

a+0=a

identity property of multiplication-

a*1=a

Step-by-step explanation:

i cant give u an exact answer as u didnt give Micheals answers so i just gave some examples about what addition and multiplication identity property should look like. Identity property's concept is to keep the same identity. Basically, "a" shouldnt change. In addition, to keep a the same all u hv to do is add 0 as anything plus 0 is the same. for multiplication, just multiply by 1. Hope this helps!!

Question 2(Multiple Choice Worth 5 points) (04.01)The Boardman family walked two over five of a mile in two over seven of an hou
Zolol [24]

Answer:

The unit rate in miles per hour = <em>1.4 miles/hr</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

Distance walked by Boardman family = Two over five of a mile = \frac{2}{5}\ miles

Time taken by Boardman family = Two over seven of an hour = \frac{2}{7}\ hour

To find:

The unit rate in the miles per hour = ?

Solution:

Formula for the rate or the speed can be given as:

Speed = \dfrac{Distance}{Time}

Putting the values:

\Rightarrow \dfrac{\frac{2}5}{\frac{2}7}\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{7}{5}\\\Rightarrow \bold{1.4\ miles/hr}

So, the unit rate in miles per hour = <em>1.4 miles/hr</em>

Marty ate 1/4 of his pizza and Luis ate 1/3 of his pizza. Marty ate more pizza than Luis. Is that possible?
Nataly_w [17]
Of course.

You can only say for sure that 1/4 of a whole thing is less than 1/3 of a whole thing
if the whole things are equal size.

If Marty's pizza was 1/3 bigger than Luis' pizza, then they both ate the same amount.
If Marty's was MORE than 1/3 bigger than Luis', then Marty ate more pizza.
