Why is work and potential energy the same thing
kipiarov [429]
Potential energy and work done are the same thing as much as kinetic energy and work done are the same thing. Potential energy is a state of the system, a way of storing energy as of virtue of its configuration or motion, while work done in most cases is a way of chaning this energy from one body to another.

Two technicians are discussing electromagnetic induction. Technician A says that the induced voltage can be increased if the spe
Inga [223]

Answer:Both

Explanation:

There are three ways to increase the induced voltage in electromagnetic induction:

1) increase the speed at which the conductor moves through the magnetic field. This means that the lines of flux are cut more quickly and more emf is induced.

2) use stronger magnets which provides a stronger magnetic field and more densely packed lines of flux.

3) use a coil of multiple loops.

Hence both technicians were correct.

A girl pulls on a 10-kg wagon with a constant horizontal force of 30 N. If there are no other horizontal forces, what is the wag
strojnjashka [21]
Force equals mass*distance
F = ma

Given m = 10 kg, F = 30 N

30 = 10a
30/10 = a
3 = a

The wagon's acceleration is 3 m/s^2

7. Nancy has a mass of 60 kg and sits on the very end of a 3.00 m long plank pivoted in the middle. How much torque must her co-
netineya [11]

Answer:

Torque = 882Nm

Explanation:

Torque = Mg×distance

But plank's is pivoted ,therefore distance=3/2=1.5m

Mass of Nancy=60jg

Acceleration due to gravity, g=9.8m/s^2

Torque= 60×9.8×1.5

Torque= 882Nm
