A reaction is said to be balanced when the number of atoms (of one type) is the same in both the reactants and the product side of the equation.

In the given reaction, the reactants are KOH and H2SO4. They combine to form products as shown below:

KOH + H2SO4 → K2(SO4) + H2O

Reactants                          Products

K = 1                                   K = 2

O = 5                                  O = 5

H = 3                                  H = 2

S = 1                                   S = 1

From the above atoms tally, it is  clear that the K, O and H atoms are unbalanced.

In order to balance it, multiply KOH  and H2O by 2,  The balanced equation is:

2KOH + H2SO4 → K2(SO4) + 2H2O

A titration is performed to calculate the concentration of a solution of a monoprotic acid. The buret is filled with a standardi
miskamm [114]

Answer:

The concentration of the acid is 117.92 ± 0.03 mM.

Explanation:

In this problem, the concentration of NaOH and the volume used is given. The volume pipetted from the acid is also given. The concentration of the acid is given by:

CNaOH * VNaOH = Cacid * Vacid

158.32 * (18.76-0.14) = C acid * 25

C acid = 117.92 mM

The propagation of error for this problem, which is a multiplication is the concentration of the acid multiplied by the error divided by its respective value as shown in the equation below

error = 117.92 * \sqrt{\frac{0.05}{158.32}^{2} +\frac{0.03}{18.62}^{2} +\frac{0.03}{25}^{2} }

The answer is 0.03 mM of uncertainty.

What is the formula for vanadium oxide
Korvikt [17]

Vanadium(V) oxide is the inorganic compound with the formula V₂O₅. Commonly known as vanadium pentoxide, it is a brown/yellow solid, although when freshly precipitated from aqueous solution, its colour is deep orange. Because of its high oxidation state, it is both an amphoteric oxide and an oxidizing agent.

formula:V2O5
