Answer : The mass of a sample of water is, 888.89 grams

Explanation :

Latent heat of vaporization : It is defined as the amount of heat energy released or absorbed when the liquid converted to vapor at atmospheric pressure at its boiling point.

Formula used :

q=L\times m

where,

q = heat = 2000 kJ = 2\times 10^6J       (1 kJ = 1000 J)

L = latent heat of vaporization of water = 2.25\times 10^6J/kg

m = mass of sample of water = ?

Now put all the given values in the above formula, we get:

2\times 10^6J=(2.25\times 10^6J/kg)\times m

m=0.88889kg=888.89g       (1 kg = 1000 g)

Therefore, the mass of a sample of water is, 888.89 grams

Two ice skaters stand together as illustrated in the attached figure. They "push off" and travel directly away from each other,
Tema [17]
By definition, the momentum is given by:
p = m * v
Where,
m = mass
v = speed.
On the other hand,
F = m * a
Where,
m = mass
a = acceleration:
For the boy we have:
p1 = m * v
p1 = (F / a) * v
p1 = ((710) / (9.81)) * (0.50)
p1 = 36.19 Kg * (m / s)
For the girl we have:
p2 = m * v
p2 = (F / a) * v
p2 = ((480) / (9.81)) * (v)
p2 = 48.93 * v Kg * (m / s)
Then, we have:
p1 + p2 = 0
36.19 + 48.93 * v = 0
Clearing v:
v = - (36.19) / (48.93)
v = -0.74 m / s (negative because the velocity is in the opposite direction of the boy's)
Answer:
the girl's velocity in m / s after they push off is -0.74 m / s

Why is the linear coefficient of thermal expansion important for a restorative material?
iren2701 [21]

Additionally, the coefficient of thermal expansion of the restorative material should be comparable to the coefficient of thermal expansion of the tooth structure, since a significant difference between the two could result in thermal-induced stress at the cavity wall and subsequent marginal failure.

This study's objective was to assess how thermal stress affected the marginal integrity of restorative materials with various adhesive and thermal characteristics. As an alternative to clinical trials, which are expensive and time-consuming, evaluation of restorative materials under laboratory simulations of clinical function is frequently carried out. Thermal cycling regimens, which are in vitro techniques that subject the restoration and the tooth to extremely high temperatures, are frequently used in laboratory simulations to replicate thermal stresses that naturally occur in vivo.

How long will it take an object to hit the ground if it is dropped from a hight of 176.4 meters
Oliga [24]

There's a short handy formula for that.

If the object is just dropped and not tossed, and it's not affected by air resistance on the way down, then the distance it falls in T seconds is

D = (1/2) (gravity) (T²)

For this problem . . .

176.4 m = (1/2) (9.8 m/s²) (T²)

Divide each side by  (4.9 m/s²) :

T² = (176.4 m) / (4.9 m/s²)

T² = (36 s²)

Take the square root of each side:

T = 6 seconds
