Answer: the force of impact is the same in magnitude for both the winshield and the bug, and in opposed directions.

Explanation:

1) Whenever two objects are in contact you have to think about the Third Law of Newton, named action-reaction force.

2) According to this law, action and reaction have the same magnitude but opposite directions.

3) Think that forces always come in pairs. They act over different objects, have the same magnitude and act on opposite directions. Some additional examples are:

i) When you kick a stone, the force of your foot on the stone is the same force of the stone on your foot.

ii) When you stand on the ground, the force that your feet exert on the ground is equal to that that the ground exerts on you feet, but in opposite direction.

iii) When you push a block, the block pushes you with the same magnitude.

What does the magnitude of centripetal acceleration depend on ?
MariettaO [177]

Explanation:

Centripetal acceleration ac is the acceleration experienced while in uniform circular motion. It always points toward the center of rotation. It is perpendicular to the linear velocity v and has the magnitude ac=v2r;ac=rω2 a c = v 2 r ; a c = r ω 2 .

Consider this situation: A baseball player dives head-first
siniylev [52]
Of the forces listed I think the force of him diving and sliding across the infield acted on the player.

I think so because the slowing down was a result of an action, and I don’t think that should count as An action when it is the result of an action. However, the act of diving head-first into second base and sliding across the infield are independent actions and will cause friction, which will act upon the player.

Scuba divers are warned that if they must make a rapid ascent, they should exhale on the way up. If a diver rapidly ascends to t
Whitepunk [10]

Air for a diver comes out of a high pressure tank at - Same- pressure compared to the water around the diver (metered by the regulator).

This means the lungs are inflated with - Highly pressurized- gas.

This does not adversely affect the diver when deep underwater, because the entire environment around the diver is at -Same - pressure.

If the diver suddenly surface, the air in the alveoli in the lungs will still be at - a higher - pressure compared to the air around the diver, which will be at - a lower - pressure.

The gas in the diver's lungs will - expand - and can damage the alveoli.
