A capital letter or a combination of a capital letter and a small letter that is used to represent an element is called Chemical symbol.

All chemical elements have their chemical symbols consisting of one or two Latin letters. A chemical symbol is a chemical element mark. For the symbol of a chemical element it takes the first letter of its name in Latin, and if several elements have a name that begins with the same letter, in most of the symbols there is another characteristic letter from the name. Why do atoms always contain the same number of electrons and protons?
katovenus [111]

Answer:

An electron is a negatively charged subatomic particle and a proton is a positively charged subatomic particle. Positive charge(s) attract negative charge(s) and vice versa. The proton and neutron stay together and attract one another to give the atom an overall charge of zero (neutral). Which is the charge of an atom. When there is an unequal number of protons and neutrons an ion is formed. If the number of protons are more than the electron, a positively charged ion called cation is formed. On the other hand, if the number of electrons are more than the protons a negatively charged ion called anion is formed.

If you mixed three Dixie cups’ contents together containing 0.05L of 1.0M lemonade, 0.05L of 2.5M lemonade, and 0.05L of 0.5M le
viva [34]

Molarity of the resulting solution will be 1.33 M.

Explanation:

First we have to find the number of moles for each of the solution using the formula, moles = molarity × volume

For cup 1 = 1 M ×0.05 L = 0.05 moles

For cup 2 = 2.5 M × 0.05 L= 0.125 moles

For cup 3 = 0.5 M × 0.05 L = 0.025 moles

Total moles = 0.05 + 0.125 + 0.025 = 0.2 moles

We have to find the total volume as, 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 0.15 L

Now we have to find the molarity as, moles / volume = 0.2 moles/ 0.15 L = 1.33 M
