The core has positive charge, the electrons have negative charge. When you are rubbing the glass rod with the silk cloth, electrons are stripped away from the atoms in the glass and transferred to the silk cloth. This leaves the glass rod with more positive than negative charge, so you get a net positive charge.

The body went 450 meters within 30 seconds of starting the movement. In what time did the first 50 meters go?
Andrew [12]

3.33 seconds.

Explanation:

We can find the speed of the body using the formula,

Speed = Distance traveled in meters / time taken in seconds

= 450 m / 30 seconds

= 15 m/s

So per second the distance traveled by the body is 15 m.

So time needed to travel 50 m can be found as,

time = distance/speed

= 50 m / 15 m /s

= 3.33 s

A football kicked in front of a goal post at an angle of 45 degree to the ground just clear the top by of the post 3m high. Calc
Firlakuza [10]

Answer:

A. 10.84 m/s

B. 1.56 s

Explanation:

From the question given above, the following data were obtained:

Angle of projection (θ) = 45°

Maximum height (H) = 3 m

Acceleration due to gravity (g) = 9.8 m/s²

Velocity of projection (u) =?

Time (T) taken to hit the ground again =?

A. Determination of the velocity of projection.

Angle of projection (θ) = 45°

Maximum height (H) = 3 m

Acceleration due to gravity (g) = 9.8 m/s²

Velocity of projection (u) =?

H = u²Sine²θ / 2g

3 = u²(Sine 45)² / 2 × 9.8

3 = u²(0.7071)² / 19.6

Cross multiply

3 × 19.6 = u²(0.7071)²

58.8 = u²(0.7071)²

Divide both side by (0.7071)²

u² = 58.8 / (0.7071)²

u² = 117.60

Take the square root of both side

u = √117.60

u = 10.84 m/s

Therefore, the velocity of projection is 10.84 m/s.

B. Determination of the time taken to hit the ground again.

Angle of projection (θ) = 45°

Velocity of projection (u) = 10.84 m/s

Time (T) taken to hit the ground again =?

T = 2uSine θ /g

T = 2 × 10.84 × Sine 45 / 9.8

T = 21.68 × 0.7071 / 9.8

T = 1.56 s

Therefore, the time taken to hit the ground again is 1.56 s.

Two objects are moving at equal speed along a level, frictionless surface. the second object has twice the mass of the first obj
lbvjy [14]

Answer:

They both rises to same height.

Explanation:

When an object is sliding up in friction less surface than according to conservation of energy its potential energy will be converted into kinetic energy.

mgH=\frac{1}{2}mv^{2}\\ v=\sqrt{2gH}

Here, m is the mass, v is the velocity, g is the acceleration due to gravity and H is the height.

Here the height is independent on the mass of an object and its only depend on velocity.

Now according to the question, two objects have same velocity but they have different masses.

Therefore, they rises to the same height because height will not change with mass.

A solar cooker, really a concave mirror pointed at the Sun, focuses the Sun's rays 13.8 cm in front of the mirror. Part A What i
shepuryov [24]

From the concept of optics on a curvature of a spherical mirror, the proportion for which the focal length is equivalent to half the radius of curvature is fulfilled. Mathematically this is

f = \frac{R}{2}

Here,

f = Focal Length

R = Radius

Rearranging to find the radius we have,

R = 2f

Replacing with our values,

R = 2(13.8cm)

R = 27.6cm

Therefore the radius of the spherical surface from which the mirror was made is 27.6cm
