It is higher.

In line with health and safety standards, it is compulsory to put on hearing protection when the value of the noise intensity is 95 dB and and exposure to such noise level should not exceed six hours in a day.

This health and safety standard is put in place to prevent some of the various health problems associated with exposure to a high level of noise such as hearing loss and hypertension.

Further Explanation

Damage caused by exposure to a high level of noise is based on two things: for how long the person is exposed to the noise and how high is the level of the noise, that is, how loud the noise is.

OSHA has set a limit to determine when an exposure to a certain level of noise is no longer safe.

 • 90dB: if the noise level is below 90dB, there is no need to put on hearing protection unless the worker will be exposed to noise for more than 8 hours.
 • 92dB: employees must wear hearing protection if they will be exposed to a noise level at 92dB for 6 hours.
 • 97dB: employees can be exposed to noise at this level for three hours without hearing protection.
 • 100dB: this level is only safe for two hours without hearing protection
 • 102dB: employees must put on hearing protection if they are exposed to this level for more than 1.5 hours
 • 105db: employees need hearing protection if they are exposed to this environment for more than one hour.
 • 110dB: hearing protection is needed if someone is exposed to noise at this level for 30 minutes or less.
 • 115dB: you can only stay in this environment without hearing protection for just 15 minutes.

The answer to this question is "Greater than". As per the OSHA or Organizational Health and Health Organization, a noise level of 95 DB or decibels is greater than the lowest level at which hearing protection is required in 85 decibels and the person's exposure should be limited only to six hours or less than of it.

A 7.7 kg sphere makes a perfectly inelastic collision with a second sphere initially at rest. The composite system moves with a
klemol [59]

Answer:

15.4 kg.

Explanation:

From the law of conservation of momentum,

Total momentum before collision = Total momentum after collision

mu+m'u' = V(m+m').................... Equation 1

Where m = mass of the first sphere, m' = mass of the second sphere, u = initial velocity of the first sphere, u' = initial velocity of the second sphere, V = common velocity of both sphere.

Given: m = 7.7 kg, u' = 0 m/s (at rest)

Let: u = x m/s, and V = 1/3x m/s

Substitute into equation 1

7.7(x)+m'(0) = 1/3x(7.7+m')

7.7x = 1/3x(7.7+m')

7.7 = 1/3(7.7+m')

23.1 = 7.7+m'

m' = 23.1-7.7

m' = 15.4 kg.

Hence the mass of the second sphere = 15.4 kg

a coil of 40 henry inductance is connected in series with aresistance of 8ohm and the combination is joined to the terminals of
Andreyy89

Answer: 5 seconds

Explanation:

Given the following :

Inductance (L) = 40 henry

Resistance = 8 ohms

The circuit given above is a Resistor - Inductor (RL) circuit network. The time constant of an RL circuit is the ratio of the circuit Inductance (L) and Resistance (R). Time constant is measured in seconds.

THAT IS;

Time constant = L / R

THEREFORE ;

Time constant = 40 / 8

Time constant = 5 seconds

Consider two objects (Object 1 and Object 2) moving in the same direction on a frictionless surface. Object 1 moves with speed v
d1i1m1o1n [39]

1) A) Object 1 has the greater momentum

The magnitude of the momentum of an object is given by:

p=mv

where

m is the mass of the object

v is its speed

Object 1 has a mass of m_1 = 2m and a speed of v_1 = v, so its momentum is

p_1 = m_1 v_1 = (2m)(v)=2mv

Object 2 has a mass of m_2 = m and a speed of v_2 = \sqrt{2} v, so its momentum is

p_2 = m_2 v_2 = (m)(\sqrt{2} v)=\sqrt{2}mv

So we see that p_1 > p_2, so object 1 has the greater momentum.

2) The objects have the same kinetic energy.

The kinetic energy of an object is given by

K=\frac{1}{2}mv^2

where

m is the mass of the object

v is its speed

Object 1 has a mass of m_1 = 2m and a speed of v_1 = v, so its kinetic energy is

K_1 = \frac{1}{2}m_1 v_1^2 = \frac{1}{2}(2m)(v)^2=mv^2

Object 2 has a mass of m_2 = m and a speed of v_2 = \sqrt{2} v, so its kinetic energy is

K_2 = \frac{1}{2}m_2 v_2^2 = \frac{1}{2}(m)(\sqrt{2} v)^2=mv^2

So we see that K_1 =K_2, so the objects have same kinetic energy

When bouncing a ball, the bouncing motion results in the ball ____________.
yan [13]

Answer:

B) changing position

Explanation:

When a ball bounces to the ground it hits the ground with some energy. The amount of energy with which it hits the ground is kinetic energy. When it comes in the contact with the ground kinetic energy gets converted into potential energy. This potential energy again gets converted into kinetic energy and balls moves again from the ground and bounces multiple times. So, due to multiple bounce the position of the ball changes.

Thus, When bouncing a ball, the bouncing motion results in the ball changing position.
