The density of water is 1.00 g/cm3. The density of ethanol is 0.80 g/cm3. What is the volume of ethanol, in cm3 that has the sam
eduard

Explanation:

Given that,

The density of water is 1 g/cm³

The density of ethanol is 0.8 g/cm³

We need to find the volume of the ethanol that has the same mass as 100 cm³ of water.

Density=mass/volume

For water,

d=\dfrac{m}{V}\\\\m=dV\\\\m=1\ g/cm^3\times 100\ cm^3\\\\m=100\ g

For ethanol,

d=\dfrac{m}{V}\\\\V=\dfrac{m}{d}\\\\V=\dfrac{100\ g}{0.8\ g/cm^3}\\\\V=125\ cm^3

Hence, 125 cm³ of ethanol has the same mass as 100 cm³ of water.

Suppose your grocery cart is moving at a constant momentum in a straight line down the aisle of a store, without friction. How w
Strike441 [17]

Answer:

It will increase

Explanation:

The kinetic energy is the energy possessed by a moving object and is given by:

KE = 1/2 mv^2

where m = mass of the object and v = velocity of the object.

It does means that the more the mass of an object in motion, the more the kinetic energy of the object if there are no opposing force such as friction. Also, the more the kinetic energy of the object, the more the speed of that object.

<em>Hence, as the weight of the cart increases by addition of groceries, the kinetic energy increases and the speed also increases as it moves along the frictionless surface.</em>

The fastest measured pitched baseball left the pitcher's hand at a speed of 42.0 m/s. If the pitcher was in contact with the bal
I am Lyosha [343]

Answer:

The acceleration and time are 588 m/s² and 0.071 sec respectively.

Explanation:

Given that,

Speed = 42.0 m/s

Distance = 1.50 m

(a). We need to calculate the acceleration

Using equation of motion

v^2=u^2+2as

a=\dfrac{v^2-u^2}{2s}

Put the value in the equation

a=\dfrac{42.0^2-0}{2\times1.50}

a=588\ m/s^2

(b). We need to calculate the time

Using equation of motion

v = u+at

t=\dfrac{v-u}{a}

t=\dfrac{42.0-0}{588}

t=0.071\ sec

Hence, The acceleration and time are 588 m/s² and 0.071 sec respectively.

The match making one is Radiation is i think B and Convection i think is C and Conduction i think is A.  I think 1 is radiation. Because radiation is transferred between objects or an empty space. Number 2 i think is conduction Because conduction is the transfer of thermal energy between to objects touching. Number 3 i also i think is radiation because radiation transfers between objects. Number 4 i also think is conduction because the spoon was touching a hot pot that was on the stove so then the thermal energy was transferred between the two objects touching. number 5 I think is convection because convection is the transfer of energy by the movement of a fluid, such as air or water. Number 6 i think is radiation because the snake is not touching the lamp and radiation goes all across spaces. Number 7 i think is convection because convection is the movement of a fluid, such as air or water. Hope this helps sorry its so long :)

A mass M suspended by a spring with force constant k has aperiod T when set into oscillations on Earth. Its period on Mars,whose
olchik [2.2K]

Answer:

C)T

Explanation:

The period of a mass-spring system is:

T=2\pi\sqrt\frac{m}{k}

As can be seen, the period of this simple harmonic motion, does not depend at all on the gravitational acceleration (g), neither the mass nor the spring constant depends on this value.
