Answer:

False

Explanation:

The electrons are excited because:

1.- They posses more energy than the basal form, but this doesn´t mean that they can easily react, remember, the electrons are the outside part of an atom.

2.- By the time, this electrons are loosing their energy, that mean that they return to the basal form.

Sylvanite is a mineral that contains 28.0% gold by mass. How much sylvanite would you need to dig up to obtain 73.0 g of gold?
Scorpion4ik [409]

You would have to dig up 261 g of sylvanite.

Mass of sylvanite = 73.0 g Au × (100 g sylvanite/28.0 g Au) = 261 g sylvanite.

The statement "electrons have a negative charge" is true. Select the correct evidence scientist have that proves this statement
Kryger [21]

The question is incomplete but i will try to offer as much help as i can.

Answer:

See explanation

Explanation:

The electron was discovered by J.J Thompson. His model of the atom was called the plum-pudding model of the atom.

He discovered that cathode rays being negatively charged particles were deflected by a magnet in just the same way as moving, negative electrically charged particles.

Similarly, in an electric field, they are deflected towards the positive plate of the electrostatic field which shows that they are negatively charged.

When two fluorine atoms bond together in F2, what type of covalent bond do they form?
Angelina_Jolie [31]

The correct statement is " A single bond, because they overlap orbitals to share one pair of electrons." A fluorine atom is unstable with 7 electrons in its valence shell and so needs one more electron to achieve stability. This is according to the octet rule which states that an atom will gain or lose electrons until there are 8 electrons in its valence shell. So each fluorine donates an electron to form a single pair and the F_2 achieves a noble gas configuration.
