How many moles of H+(aq) ions are present in 750 mL of 0.65 M hydrochloric acid?

Chemistry

Alja [10]3 years ago
7 0

Answer: n (moles) = C (concentration) x V (volume in L)

n = 0.65 x 0.75

n = 0.4875 moles of HCl

HCl is a strong acid so it pretty much totally ionises so there are as many H+(aq) ions as there is HClHCl ==> H + Cl

You are performing a gradient elution and are instructed to begin with a low polarity solvent (petroleum ether) and continue to
Sophie [7]

Answer:

The eluting strength of a solvent is primarily related to how strongly it adsorbs onto the  adsorbent and because typical adsorbents are highly polar; thus, eluting strength increases  with solvent polarity.

Explanation:

The polarity of a solvent makes it more suitable for elution in a polar adsorbent. Hence the choice of solvents should be in order of increasing rather than decreasing polarity. polarity must increase and not decrease

If 0.583 g of ammonia (NH3) is dissolved to make 250 mL of solution, what is the molarity?
Misha Larkins [42]

Answer:

0.137 M NH3

Explanation:

First divide the mass of NH3 by the molar mass of NH3, and then divide by the volume to get molarity.

0.583 g / 17.031 g/mol = 0.0342 mol NH3

0.0342 mol NH3 / 0.250 L = 0.137 M NH3

Question 20 (2 points)
sveta [45]

Answer:

becomes runoff and finds its way back to the ocean

Explanation:

Precipitation refers to rainfall that reaches the earth.

Most of the rainfall that reaches the earth becomes runoff and finds its way back to the ocean.

When the rain falls on earth, some evaporates, some enters into the ground while some runs off into rivers and streams. Almost all of the rain water flows into the oceans or other bodies of water.

Hence, most of the rainfall that reaches the earth becomes runoff and finds its way back to the ocean
