Calculate the mass of 2.50 mol of CH,OH(1). Show your work. Use the appropriate
Sophie [7]

Answer:

80.1 grams

Explanation:

Find the molar mass of CH3OH first by using the periodic table values.

12.011 g/mol C + (1.008*3 g/mol H) + 15.999g/mol O + 1.008 g/mol H

=32.042 so that is the molar mass

Now that you have 2.50 moles of CH3OH, you can calculate the mass in g

2.50molCH3OH * (32.042g CH3OH / 1 mol CH3OH) = 80.105

32.042g / 1 mol is the same as 32.042 g/mol

Since there are 3 sig figs in the problem (2.50 has 3 sig figs), you round to 80.1 g CH3OH

The element phosporus is located to the right of the element magnesium along the same period in the periodic table.
Gala2k [10]
I’m assuming this is a true and false question. The answer is true. Phosphorus has a larger atomic mass. Phosphorus is number 15 on the periodic table. Phosphorus is a non-metal.

The ionic charge of an element in Group 6A is 2–.

-True

-False
natita [175]

True. These ions are of a 2- charge. Oxygen is an example. It will form a 2- charge if ionize.

decameters - meters: multiply by 10

meters to meters: multiply by 1

centimeters to meters: divide by 100

millimeters to meters: divide by 1000

For the rows at the bottom:

hectometer row: 100, multiply by 100, 4500

decameter row: 10, multiply by 10, 450

meter row: 1, multiply by 1, 45

decimeter row: 0.1, divide by 10, 4.5

centimeter row: 0.01, divide by 100, 0.45

im guessing theres a millimeter row at the bottom:

millimeter row: 0.001, divide by 1000, 0.045

hope this helps!
