From the description given for the triangle above, I think the type of triangle that is represented would be a right triangle. This type of triangle contains a right angle and two acute angles. In order to say or prove that it is a right triangle, it should be able to satisfy the Pythagorean Theorem which relates the sides of the triangle. It is expressed as follows:

c^2 = a^2 + b^2

 where c is the hypotenuse or the longest side and a, b are the two shorter sides.

To prove that the triangle is indeed a right triangle, we use the equation above.

c^2 = a^2 + b^2
c^2 = 20^2 = 10^2 + (10sqrt(3))^2
400 = 100 + (100(3))
400 = 400

Evaluate the expression (25^-3/2)^1/3
Brilliant_brown [7]

Answer:

1/5

Step-by-step explanation:

To avoid ambiguity, your negative exponent -3/2 should be enclosed in brackets or parentheses, as should your exponent 1/3:

( 25^[-3/2] )^ (1/3)

This is equivalent to:

(√25)^(-3)· (1/3), or

5^(-1), or 1/5.

In the diagram, the measure of angle 3 is 105°. Which angle must also measure 105°? Angle1 Angle4 Angle6 Angle8
Lunna [17]

Answer:

<h2><1</h2>

option A is the right option.

Here,

<3=105°

<1=<3(being vertically opposite angles)

<1=105°

Explanation:

Please see the attached picture.

There,

<AOC and <BOD are formed by intersected line segments and they lie to the opposite side of common vertex.They are called vertically opposite angles.<AOD and <BOC are another pairs of vertically opposite angles. Vertically opposite angles are always equal.

Hope this helps..

Good luck on your assignment...

How many 4' x 8' sheets of plywood are required to cover a floor that is 9 m by 16 m?
Xelga [282]
Assuming no border or waste, 9m by 16 m translates to 29.52' x 52.49'.
use 32/8=4 sheets of plywood to cover the width on the 8' side.
For the length, use 52/4=13 pieces on the 4' side.
This gives a total of 4*13=52 sheets.
The extra 0.49' x 29.52 can be covered using the extra from the last four sheets for the width.

Check:
Area to be covered: 29.52*52.49=1550 sq. ft.
Area of plywood supplied = 52*4'x8'= 1664 sq. ft, > 1550 sq.ft.

Construct a 99% confidthence interval for the population mean .Assume the population has a normal distribution. A group of 19 ra
Kobotan [32]
<h2>Answer with explanation:</h2>

Confidence interval for mean, when population standard deviation is unknown:

\overline{x}\pm t_{\alpha/2}\dfrac{s}{\sqrt{n}}

, where \overline{x} = sample mean

n= sample size

s= sample standard deviation

t_{\alpha/2} = Critical t-value for n-1 degrees of freedom

We assume the population has a normal distribution.

Given, n= 19 , s= 3.8 , \overline{x}=22.4

\alpha=1-0.99=0.01

A) Critical t value for \alpha/2=0.005 and degree of 18 freedom

t_{\alpha/2} = 2.8784

B) Required confidence interval:

22.4\pm ( 2.8744)\dfrac{3.8}{\sqrt{19}}\\\\=22.4\pm2.5058\\\\=(22.4-2.5058,\ 22.4+2.5058)=(19.8942,\ 24.9058)\approx(19.9,\ 24.9)

Lower bound = 19.9 years

Uppen bound = 24.9 years

C) Interpretation: We are 99% confident that the true population mean of lies in (19.9, 24.9) .
