Answer is: mass of lithium fluoride is 3,732 grams.
m(solution) = 18,66 g.
ω(solution) = 20% = 20% ÷ 100% = 0,2.
m(LiF) = ?
ω(solution) = m(LiF) ÷ m(solution).
m(LiF) = ω(solution) · m(solution).
m(LiF) = 0,2 · 18,66 g.
m(LiF) = 3,732 g.

A sample of an ionic compound containing iron and chlorine is analyzed and found to have a molar mass of 126.8 g/mol. what is th
julsineya [31]
Answer is: the charge of the iron in this compound is +2.
Atomic mass of iron is 55,8 g/mol.
Atomic mass of chlorine is 35,5 g/mol.
If compound is FeCl, molar mass would be 55,8 g/mol + 35,5 g/mol = 91,3 g/mo, that is not correct.
If compound is FeCl₂, malar mass of compound would be:
55,8 g/mol + 2·35,5 g/mol = 126,8 g/mol, that is correct.
Oxaidation number of chlorine is -1.

Why is it important to note the temperature when determining the density of a substance?
Andru [333]
It is important to take note of th temperature in determining the density of a substance because this will set as a basis and will likely be a variable in the experiment because this will also contribute on the effects of the experiment and a basis of how the experiment has turned to be that way.

A gardener decides to use only part of their garden in the spring. What will most likely happen first in the unused part of the
Gemiola [76]

Answer:

Growth of weeds and grasses

Explanation:

The part of the garden, probably left to rest by the Gardner, would start experiencing a legion of invasive plants. Giant weeds and grasses could be seen, and brambles and tree seedlings could also sneak in.

Some Gardeners would recommend the use of herbicides to restore order to an abandoned garden even though certain scientists are of the opinion that chemicals may not offer a sound solution to the problem.

A sample of gas (1.9 mol) is in a flask at 21 °c and 697 mm hg. the flask is opened and more gas is added to the flask. the new
garik1379 [7]

To solve this problem, we assume ideal gas so that we can use the formula:

PV = nRT

since the volume of the flask is constant and R is universal gas constant, so we can say:

n1 T1 / P1 = n2 T2 / P2

1.9 mol * (21 + 273 K) / 697 mm Hg = n2 * (26 + 273 K) / 841 mm Hg

n2 = 2.25 moles
