For the answer to the question above, if your question is a lever with a pivot and which sounds more likely ...then I would say from the principle of moments: F1*d1=F2*d2

<span>given F1=high and F2=low ---> d1 must be low and d2 high for the equations to be balanced. </span>

<span>So the answer is simply: Inversely</span>

Acceleration is positive when you are speeding up.
Vikki [24]

Answer:

B Negative

Explanation:

Its negative because when your going 25 mph your moving faster and when your coming up to the stop sign you will start to slow down going 10 mph then 0 mph when you reach the stop sign so it will be negative.

Would water molecules in Venus’ atmosphere, whose temperature is 740 K, escape into outer space? A water molecule has a mass tha
Akimi4 [234]

Answer:

The water molecule cannot escape, since the average velocity of the water molecules is less than one sixth of the escape velocity of venus.

Explanation:

The average speed of gas molecules is given by:

v_{rms}=\sqrt{\frac{3RT}{M}}

R is the gas constant, T is the temperature and M the molar mass of the gas.

We know that a water molecule has a mass that is 18 times that of a hydrogen atom:

M_H=1.01*10^{-3}\frac{kg}{mol}\\M_{H2O}=18M_H=0.02\frac{kg}{mol}

So, we have:

v_{rms}=\sqrt{\frac{3(8.314\frac{J}{mol \cdot K})740K}{0.02\frac{kg}{mol}}}\\v_{rms}=960.65\frac{m}{s}*\frac{1km}{1000m}=0.96\frac{km}{s}

The water molecule cannot escape, since the average velocity of the water molecules is less than one sixth of the escape velocity of venus:

10\frac{km}{s}*\frac{1}{6}=1.6\frac{km}{s}\\0.96\frac{km}{s}

A firecracker in a coconut blows the coconut into three pieces. Two pieces of equal mass fly off south and west, perpendicular t
Natasha_Volkova [10]

Answer:

v=12.5 i + 12.5 j m/s

Explanation:

Given that

m₁=m₂ = m

m₃ = 2 m

Given that speed of the two pieces

u₁=- 25 j m/s

u₂ =- 25 i m/s

Lets take the speed of the third mass = v m/s

From linear momentum conservation

Pi= Pf

0 = m₁u₁+m₂u₂ + m₃ v

0 = -25 j m  - 25 i m + 2 m v

2 v=25 j   + 25 i m/s

v=12.5 i + 12.5 j m/s

Therefore the speed of the third mass will be v=12.5 i + 12.5 j m/s
