Answer:

1. CH3COOH + NaHCO3 —> CH3COONa + H2O + CO2

2. Double Displacement and Decomposition reaction.

Explanation:

1. The balanced equation for the reaction is given below:

CH3COOH + NaHCO3 —> CH3COONa + H2O + CO2

2. There are actually two types of reactions that occur in the reaction between acetic acid (CH3COOH) and sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3)

The first is a DOUBLE DISPLACEMENT reaction in which the acetic acid react with the bicarbonate to form sodium acetate and carbonic acid as shown below:

CH3COOH + NaHCO3 —> CH3COONa + H2CO3

The second type of reaction is DECOMPOSITION REACTION. The carbonic acid (H2CO3) form is unstable and will decompose to form H2O and CO2 as shown below:

H2CO3 —> H2O + CO2

Pls hurrry<br>what are greenhouse effect 1 paragraph and come friends
Kay [80]
The greenhouse effect is a natural process that warms the Earth’s surface. When the Sun’s energy reaches the Earth’s atmosphere, some of it is reflected back to space and the rest is absorbed and re-radiated by greenhouse gases.
Greenhouse gases include water vapour, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, ozone and some artificial chemicals such as chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs).
The absorbed energy warms the atmosphere and the surface of the Earth. This process maintains the Earth’s temperature at around 33 degrees Celsius warmer than it would otherwise be, allowing life on Earth to exist.

Answer and work for this problem
MArishka [77]
We can write the balanced equation for the synthesis reaction as
     H2(g) + Cl2(g) → 2HCl(g)

We use the molar masses of hydrogen chloride gas HCl and hydrogen gas H2 to calculate for the mass of hydrogen gas H2 needed:
     mass of H2 = 146.4 g HCl *(1 mol HCl / 36.46 g HCl) * (1 mol H2 / 2 mol HCl) *
                           (2.02 g H2 / 1 mol H2)
                        = 4.056 g H2

We also use the molar masses of hydrogen chloride gas HCl and chlorine gas CL2 to calculate for the mass of hydrogen gas H2:
     mass of CL2 = 146.4 g HCl *(1 mol HCl / 36.46 g HCl) * (1 mol Cl2 / 2 mol HCl) *
                             (70.91 g Cl2 / 1 mol Cl2)
                          = 142.4 g Cl2

Therefore, we need 4.056 grams of hydrogen gas and 142.4 grams of chlorine gas to produce 146.4 grams of hydrogen chloride gas.
