Believe it or not white clouds can be both opaque and transparent depending on the volume and mass within that cloud. The heavier the cloud, the more opaque it'll seem, but the lighter the cloud is, it'll seem transparent-

Batman (95kg) is standing on top of a 50m high building looking out over the city of Gotham. Given that he uses the potential en
Oksanka [162]

Answer:

47 kJoules (kJ)

Explanation:

Potential enegy on Earth is given by the relationship:

P.E. = mgh, where m is mass, g is the acceleration due to Earth's gravity, and h is height. Since we are given metric values, we will look for an answer that is consistent with Joules, the metric measure of energy. 1 Joule is defined as 1 kg*m^2/s^2, so we wnat units of kg, m, and sec.

We are given:

m = 95kg

h = 50 meters

Earth's gravity, g is 9.8 m/s^2

Enter the data:

P.E. = mgh

P.E. = (95kg)(9.8m/s^2)(50m)

P.E. = 46550 kg*m^2/s^2 or 46550 Joules(J)

Since we only have 2 sig figs, and since 1kJ =- 1000J

We can state the potential energy is 47kJ.

Spiderman has 47kJ of potential energy for the start of any dive back to Earth. [He needed that same amount of energy to reach that height, but we don't know from where it came. A jump, helicopter, beamed up by Scotty, or tossed up by Doctor Octopus.]

Severus Snape knows that density of his powder is 3.00 g/cm3 . He also knows he needs 3.00 cm3 of this powder. What mass in gram
harina [27]

Answer:

He requires 1 gram of mass.

Explanation:

The density is defined as:

\rho = \frac{m}{V}  (1)

Where m is the mass and V is the volume.

Then, m can be isolated from equation 1 in order to determine the mass.

m = \rho \cdot V (2)

m = (3.00g/cm^{3})(3.00cm^{3})

m = 1g

Hence, he requires 1 gram of mass.

A 3.7-kg object is acted on by two forces. One of the forces is 11 N acting toward the
vitfil [10]

Answer:

F₂ = -7.3 N

Explanation:

Given that,

The mass of an object, m₁ = 3.7 kg

First force, F₁ = 11 N

The net acceleration of the object is 1 m/s².

We know that,

F₁+F₂ = ma

11+F₂ = (3.7)(1)

F₂ = 3.7-11

F₂ = -7.3 N

so, the other force is 7.3 N and it is acting in west direction.

A scientist designs an experiment in which a light source is pointed at a substance and a light detector is placed on the opposi
Lostsunrise [7]
The answer is D. Either absorbed or reflected. The reason is because if no light is being shown on the other side, the substance is not letting any light pass through. Since we do not know anything else about the substance, we do not know which one of the two it is doing. The scientist would not see any light on the detector if 100% of the light is reflected and the same thing would happen if 100% of the light was absorbed.
