PWC operators must keep in mind that a jet drive needs moving water through the drive nozzle for maneuverability. In other term, you must have power applied in order to uphold steering control. If the engine shuts off during operation or If you release the throttle to idle, you will lose all steering control. In either situation, the PWC will remain in the direction it was headed before the throttle was released or the engine was shut off. Action of the steering control will have no outcome. If you are approaching a dock, shore, or other vessel at a speed bigger than you can control and you release the throttle to idle or shut off the engine, you won’t have maneuvering capability and the PWC will stay its forward movement.

The actual depth of a shallow pool 1.00 m deep is not the same as the apparent depth seen when you look straight down at the poo
DedPeter [7]

Answer:

d' = 75.1 cm

Explanation:

It is given that,

The actual depth of a shallow pool is, d = 1 m

We need to find the apparent depth of the water in the pool. Let it is equal to d'.

We know that the refractive index is also defined as the ratio of real depth to the apparent depth. Let the refractive index of water is 1.33. So,

n=\dfrac{d}{d'}\\\\d'=\dfrac{d}{n}\\\\d'=\dfrac{1\ m}{1.33}\\\\d'=0.751\ m

or

d' = 75.1 cm

So, the apparent depth is 75.1 cm.

A proton is traveling -x direction through a uniform magnetic field which is in the +x direction. In which direction will the pr
djyliett [7]

Answer:

No force acts on it. It will not be pushed.

Explanation:

The proton moving in the -X direction implies its velocity is in the -X direction and the magnetic field is given to be in the +X direction. So the angle between them is 180 degrees. So no force acts on the proton, since the velocity and magnetic field are anti parallel.

Magnetic force is given by the equation F = q v B sin theta where theta is the angle between the velocity and the magnetic field. This force will be a maximum if they are perpendicular to each other.
