An airplane can fly at a height of 12.5km over the ground. How high is this in centimeters

Chemistry

ok so for this you need to know how to convert measurements.

12.5km needs to be in cm. So you need to know what unit conversion is going to get me cm and sometimes its more then 1 step.

So one way is we could use these conversions km to m and then m to cm

So turn 12.5km into a fraction over 1 (12.5/1km)

and times it by 1000m over 1km you should get 12500m.

Next take 12500m over 1 and multiply it by 100cm over 1m as a fraction so then your anwser should be 1,250,000cm

P 4 + 5O 2 P 4 O 10 , 1.5 moles of product was made in 30 seconds. What is the rate of reaction? 0.011 g/min 210 g/min 380 g/min
Airida [17]

Answer: 850.0 g/min.

Explanation:

 • The rate of the reaction = (ΔC/Δt) where,

ΔC is the change in concentration of reactants or products.

Δt is the change in time of the reaction proceeding.

 • The rate is needed to be calculated in (g/min).
 • We need to calculate the amount of the product in (g) via using the relation (n = mass / molar mass).
 • mass (g) = n x molar mass,
 • n = 1.5 moles and molar mass of P₄O₁₀ = 283.88 g/mol.
 • m = 1.5 x 283.88 = 425.82 g.
 • ΔC = 425.82 g and Δt = 30 s / 60 = 0.5 min.
 • The rate of the reaction = ΔC / Δt = (425.82 g / 0.5 min) = 851.64 g/min.

can be approximated to 850.0 g/min.

Zarrin [17]

Answer:

The alkyl halide is secondary

The nucleophile is a poor nucleophile

The solvent is a protic solvent

The product is racemic

Explanation:

The reaction is shown in the image attached.

Alkyl halides undergo nucleophilic substitution by two mechanisms; SN1 and SN2. The particular mechanism that applies depends on;

I) structure of the alkyl halide

ii) nature of the nucleophile

iii) nature of the solvent

Looking at the reaction under review, we can see from the structure that the alkyl halide is a secondary alkyl halide. A secondary alkyl halide may undergo substitution via SN1 or SN2 mechanism depending on the conditions of the reaction.

If the nucleophile is poor, and the solvent is protic, SN1 mechanism is favoured over SN2 mechanism. Since CH3CH2OH is a poor nucleophile and ethanol is a protic solvent, we expect the reaction to proceed via SN1 mechanism leading to the formation of a racemic product.

The organic product is also shown in the second image attached.
