Answer:

<em>the distance d traveled by the lighter fragment is 58.1 m.</em>

<em></em>

Explanation:

mass of the lighter fragment = m

the lighter fragment traveled a distance = ?

mass of the heavier fragment = 7m

the distance covered by the heavier fragment = 8.30 m

The two particles will be given the same amount of energy from the explosion. This energy is used to do work by the two fragments.

work done by heavier fragment w = mgd

where m is the mass

g is acceleration due to gravity

d is the distance traveled.

substituting, the work done by the heavier fragment is

w = 7m x g x 8.3 = 58.1mg

The same way, the lighter fragment does work of

w = mgd

equating the two work done since they are given the same amount of energy from the explosion, we have

58.1mg = mgd

mg cancels out, we have

<em>the distance d traveled by the lighter fragment d = 58.1 m</em>

Determine the average velocity and average speed for the following situation. A dog runs west for 35 meters then turns east for
mart [117]

Answer:

0.882 m/s average velocity and 1.71 m/s average speed

Explanation:

The dog travels a total of 35 m west and 110 m east.

110-35 = 75 m east of the starting position. Since velocity is a vector you must consider its first and final position and not the total distance traveled.

75 m / 85 s = 0.882 m/s average velocity

Speed is not concerned with direction so we instead add the total distance traveled which is 35+110 = 145 m. We then perform the same operation as before and divide by the time it took to run this distance.

145 m / 85 s = 1.71 m/s average speed

What principles of science (like facts, laws, and theories) might help explain why similar investigations conducted in many part
natulia [17]

Answer:

Reproducibility of research

Explanation:

The principle of science that explains why similar experimental investigations conducted in different parts of the world could result in the same outcome is referred to as reproducibility.

<em>A good research or experiment in science must be reproducible, otherwise, the outcome of such an experiment might become inadmissible within the scientific community. It is a core principle of the scientific method that similar results should be obtained when an experiment or observational study conducted in one place is repeated in another place with the same procedure. Hence, an experiment must be reproducible in science in order for the outcome of such an experiment to be part of the general scientific knowledge. </em>

ASAP PLEASE! WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST ANSWER! The pictures below show the wavelengths and intensities of electromagnetic radiations
rjkz [21]

As per Weins displacement law the wavelength of light for which we get the peak of the graph is always inversely proportional to the temperature.

So we can say

/lambda = \frac{b}{T}

So here if temperature becomes more cool then wavelength will increase

here we know that

\lambda_1 = 8500 A^o

\lambda_2 = 6000 A^o

\lambda_3 = 3500 A^o

It means the hottest star out of all three is star 3

and coolest star is star 1

now if we star 2 becomes cooler then it means its temperature will go near to star 1 and hence it will more look like to star 1.

So correct answer is

it will look more like Star 1

A 0.0223 m diameter coin rolls up a 12.0◦ inclined plane. The coin starts with an initial angular speed of 49.3 rad/s and rolls
zlopas [31]

Answer:

h = 0.0231 m

Explanation:

The movement of the coin is modelled after the Principle of Energy Conservation. The kinetic energy of the coin is the sum of the components associated with translation and rotation and there are no non-conservative forces. In addition, the coin starts moving at height of zero

K_{rot} + K_{tr} = U_{g}

\frac{1}{2} \cdot m_{coin} \cdot \omega^{2} \cdot R^{2} + \frac{1}{4} \cdot m_{coin} \cdot R^{2} \cdot \omega^{2} = m_{coin} \cdot g \cdot h\\

\frac{3}{4} \cdot R^{2} \cdot \omega^{2} = g \cdot h

The maximum vertical height is isolated in the previous equation:

h = \frac{3 \cdot R^{2}\cdot \omega^{2}}{4\cdot g}

h = \frac{3 \cdot (0.01115 m)^{2} \cdot (49.3 \frac{rad}{s} )^{2}}{4 \cdot (9.807 \frac{m}{s^{2}} )} \\h = 0.0231 m
