Without doing any calculations, determine which sample contains the most atoms.

Chemistry

6 0

Answer:

B.

Explanation:

1g of Boron has the most number of atoms. This is simply because it has the highest number of moles.

Since 1 mole contain 6.22 × 10^23 atoms, the atom that has most moles closer to 1 will contain most atoms.

This in fact can be calculated from the fact that the number of moles equal mass divided by the atomic mass.

The mass here is equal I.e 1g and thus the dividing factor will be the atomic mass. The atom with the highest atomic mass here us thorium and thus will give the lowest number of moles. Zinc follows suit in that order with Boron at the top of the other and thus will contain the highest number of atoms.

What is the definition of Indirect Proportion Graph?
charle [14.2K]

Answer:

Explanation:

The graph of an inversely proportional relationship displays a vertical asymptote at the y-axis as the y value increases without bound as x gets closer and closer to zero (but is positive) and decreases without bound as x gets closer and closer to zero (but is negative)and a horizontal asymptote at the x-axis as y gets .

Treatment of p-hydroxybenzoic acid with aqueous bromine leads to the evolution of carbon dioxide and the formation of 2,4,6-trib
Nastasia [14]

Answer:

Aromatization leads to evolution of carbon dioxide

Explanation:

In p-hydroxybenzoic acid, -OH and -COOH groups remain in para position.

The directing effect of -OH and -COOH group act synergistically to react with three equivalent of bromine.

In para position of -OH group, -COOH remains attached along with a Br atom in a same carbon atom. During aromatization of benzene group, this -COOH group decomposes to give carbon dioxide.

Reaction scheme has been shown below.
