Answer:

a) 2.3 x 10⁴ m/s

b) 4.42 x 10⁻¹⁹ J or 2.8 eV

Explanation:

θ = Angle between the direction of motion of proton and magnetic field = 35

B = magnitude of magnetic field = 0.026 T

F = magnitude of magnetic force =5.5 x 10⁻¹⁷ N

q = magnitude of charge on proton = 1.6 x 10⁻¹⁹ C

v = speed of proton

magnetic force on proton is given as

F = q v B Sinθ

5.5 x 10⁻¹⁷ = (1.6 x 10⁻¹⁹) (0.026) Sin35 v

v = 2.3 x 10⁴ m/s

b)

m = mass of the proton = 1.67 x 10⁻²⁷ kg

Kinetic energy of proton is given as

KE = (0.5) m v²

KE = (0.5) (1.67 x 10⁻²⁷) (2.3 x 10⁴)²

KE = 4.42 x 10⁻¹⁹ J

we also know that, 1 eV = 1.6 x 10⁻¹⁹ J

KE = \frac{4.42\times 10^{-19}}{1.6\times 10^{-19}}

KE = 2.8 eV

Hurricanes are especially destructive because of the abrupt decrease in air pressure that they bring with the winds. Consider a
ivann1987 [24]

Answer:

2.96 × 10^4 N

Explanation:

1 atm = 101325 N/m², pressure inside the airtight room = 1.02 atm, pressure outside due to hurricane = 0.91 atm

net pressure directed outward = P inside - P  outside

net pressure = 1.02 - 0.91 = 0.11 atm

where 1 atm = 101325N/m²

0.11 atm = 0.11 × 101325 N/m² = 11145.75 N/m²

area of the square wall = l × l where l is the length of the wall in meters = 1.63 × 1.63 = 2.6569

net pressure = net force / area

make net force subject of the formula

net force = net pressure × area = 11145.75 × 2.6569 = 2.96 × 10 ^4 N

What are aerial plants
Alex_Xolod [135]

Answer:  Aerial plants is plants that lives in air or wind the wind serves as the water of the plants. Most aerial plants are found in tropical and equatorial regions of the world. In evergreen rain forests, the foliage is so thick that some plants have evolved aerial roots to allow them to absorb more sunlight. The development of aerial roots is

thus an evolutionary process.Aerial roots are often thick and spread around the parent tree. The Banyan tree can have several aerial roots as it gets older.
