No cations are both positive. An ionic bond has to have a positive and negative to form. Or a metal and a nonmetal if that helps.

Carbon dioxide gas is collected at 27.0(degrees)C in an evacuated flask with a measured volume of 30.0L. When all the gas has be
White raven [17]

Answer:

Moles of carbon dioxide gas is 0.584 moles.

Mass of 0.584 moles of carbon dioxide gas is 25.7  g

Explanation:

Using ideal gas equation

PV = nRT

where,

P = Pressure of gas = 0.480 atm

V = Volume of gas = 30.0 L

n = number of moles of gas = ?

R = Gas constant = 0.0821 L.atm/mol.K

T = Temperature of gas = 27°C = 300.15 K

Putting values in above equation, we get:

(0.480 atm)\times 30.0 L=n\times (0.0821L.atm/mol.K)\times 300.15K\\\\n=0.5844 mol\approx 0.584

Moles of carbon dioxide gas = 0.584 moles

Mass of 0.584 moles of carbon dioxide gas = 0.584 mol × 44 g/mol = 25.69 g ≈ 25.7  g

Fofino [41]

Answer:

D- Assertion is false and Reason is true

Explanation:

Precipitation is said to have occurred when an insoluble product is formed from soluble ones. Let us take an instance;

BaCl2(aq) + H2SO4(aq) -------> BaSO4(s) + 2HCl(aq)

The barium sulphate so formed is an insoluble product obtained from the reaction of soluble barium chloride and sulphuric acid. This is a typical example of a double replacement reaction as the both ions exchanged partners.

Thus, the assertion is false but the reason is true.
