The average speed of the bus from Lansing to Detroit is
v_1 = 104.5 km/h
while the average speed of the bus from Detroit to Lansing is
v_2 =56.2 km/h

The distance covered by the bus in the two trips is the same (the distance between the two cities), therefore, the average speed of the round trip can be calculated as the mean of the two speeds:
v= \frac{v_1+v_2}{2}= \frac{104.5+56.2}{2}=80.35 km/h

Four forces act on bolt A as shown; F1 150N, F2 80N, F3 110N and F4 100N. Determine the magnitude and direction of the resultant
netineya [11]

Complete Question

The  complete question(reference (chegg)) is shown on the first uploaded image

Answer:

The magnitude of the resultant force is  F  =  199.64 \ N

The  direction of the resultant force is  \theta = 4.1075^o from the horizontal plane

Explanation:

Generally when resolving force, if the force (F )is moving toward the angle then the resolve force will be  Fcos(\theta ) while if the force is  moving away from the angle  then the resolved force is  Fsin (\theta )

Now  from the diagram let resolve the forces to their horizontal component

    So

          \sum F_x  =  150 cos(30) + 100cos(15) -80sin (20)

          \sum F_x  =  199.128 \ N

Now  resolving these force into their vertical component can be mathematically evaluated as

         \sum  F_{y}  =  150 sin(30) - 100sin(15) -110 +80 cos(20)

         \sum  F_{y}  =  14.30

Now the resultant force is mathematically evaluated as

        F  =  \sqrt{F_x^2 + F_y^2}

substituting values

        F  =  \sqrt{199.128^2 + 14.3^2}

        F  =  199.64 \ N

The  direction of the resultant force is  evaluated as

       \theta  =  tan^{-1}[\frac{F_y}{F_x} ]

substituting values

       \theta  =  tan^{-1}[\frac{ 14.3}{199.128} ]

       \theta  =  4.1075^o from the horizontal plane

Which of the following characteristics is representative of receptor-level processing, NOT perceptual-level processing?
Kitty [74]

Answer:  The correct answer is :  B. transduction

Explanation:  Transduction is a process through which DNA is transferred from one bacterium to another through the action of a virus or a viral vector. There are two types of transduction, the generalized and the specialized. Transduction is a tool widely used by molecular biologists.

A thin walled spherical shell is rolling on a surface. What
ExtremeBDS [4]

Answer:

=\frac{1/3}{5/6} = 0.4

Explanation:

Moment of inertia of given shell= \frac{2}{3} MR^2

where

M represent sphere mass

R -sphere radius

we know linear speed is given as v = r\omega

translational K.E = \frac{1}{2} mv^2 = \frac{1}{2} m(r\omega)^2

rotational K.E = \frac{1}{2} I \omega^2 = \frac{1}{2} \frac{2}{3} MR^2 \omega^2

total kinetic energy will be

K.E = \frac{1}{2} m(r\omega)^2 + \frac{1}{2} \frac{2}{3} MR^2 \omega^2

K.E =\frac{5}{6} MR^2 \omega^2

fraction of rotaional to total K.E

=\frac{1/3}{5/6} = 0.4
