Solution:

Substitute the values in the formula V=-E*d we get the answers

let us consider the electric field that travels in a positive way or the positive direction and E denotes the magnitude

Where E= 6.8 10^5 N/C

We have the formula, V=-E*d

Take d value as 5 from the option one

put V=0 since the fields are in the X direction and the points are in the Y direction

By the formula,

(0, 5.0 m)

V=-E*d

V= -6.8x10^5V/m*5m

V=-3.40x10^6V

By the formula (5.0 m, 0)

V=-E*d

V= -6.8x10^5V/m*5m

V=-3.40x10^6V

By the formula ,

(5.0 m, 5.0 m)

V=-E*d

V= -6.8x10^5V/m*5m

V=-3.40x10^6V

sub V=5 we get,

V=-3.40x10^6V+5

v=2.40x10^6V

An acorn falls from a branch located 9.8 m above the ground. After 1 s of falling, the acorn's velocity will be 9.8 m/s downward
goldenfox [79]

Answer:

The acorn hasn't hit the ground because it only falsl half of the branch distance from the ground

Explanation:

given information:

h =9.8

t =1 s

g = 9.8

the average speed

v = 1/2 gt²

   = 1/2 (9.8) (1)²

   = 4.8 m/s

the distance in 1s

h = v t

   = 4.8 (1)

   = 4.8 m

the acorn hasn't hit the ground because it only falsl half of the branch distance from the ground

When the displacement of a mass on a spring is 12 a the half of the amplitude, what fraction of the mechanical energy is kinetic
Sveta_85 [38]
You know that when the displacement is equal to the amplitude (A), the velocity is zero, which implies that the kinetic energy (KE) is zeero, so the total mechanical energy (ME) is the potential energy (PE).

And you know that the potential energy, PE, is [ 1/2 ] k (x^2)

Then, use x = A, to calculate the PE in the point where ME = PE.

ME = PE = [1/2] k (A)^2.

At half of the amplitude, x = A/2 => PE = [ 1/2] k (A/2)^2

=> PE = [1/4] { [1/2]k(A)^2 } = .[1/4] ME

So, if PE is 1/4 of ME, KE is 3/4 of ME.

And the answer is 3/4

What is the kinetic energy of a an 80kg football player running at 8 m/s?
Ugo [173]
In the question it is already given that the football player is 80 kg.
Then the mass of the football player = 80 kg
Velocity at which the football player is running = 8 m/s
Kinetic Energy = 0.5 • mass • square of velocity
Now we have to put the known data in this equation to find the actual velocity of the footballer.
So
Kinetic Energy of the footballer = 0.5 * 80 * (8 * 8)
                                                 = 0.5 * 80 * 64
                                                 = 2560
So the Kinetic energy of the footballer is 2560 joules
