First 3 steps, I simply as "y = mx + b" form.

Then in step 4 I plug in every Y and X given in the table.

Results ;

X = 4
X = 0
Y = 6
Y = 3

B is the correct answer !

If you have any questions, please leave a comment (:

( P.S ignore the first 3 step on the very top, the one that starts with "y-2 = 1/4 (x+8)"
that equation is wrong. The first bottom 3 steps are the correct ones)

\bf \textit{Law of Cosines}\\ \quad \\
c^2 = {{ a}}^2+{{ b}}^2-(2{{ a}}{{ b}})cos(C)\implies
c = \sqrt{{{ a}}^2+{{ b}}^2-(2{{ a}}{{ b}})cos(C)}\\\\

\begin{cases}
a=12\\
b=10\\
D=90+50
\end{cases}\implies d = \sqrt{{{ 12}}^2+{{ 10}}^2-2(12)(10)cos(140^o)}
\\\\\\
d\approx \sqrt{427.851}\implies d\approx 20.684551
