Which of the following correctly describes the relationship between speed and velocity?

Chemistry

Speed and velocity is a scalar and vector quantity of a similar parameter, respectively. They both refer to how fast an object moves. However, the speed only has to do with the magnitude. The velocity takes into account the sign which indicates the direction of the movement. For example, the value is -5 m/s. The speed is 5 m/s, but the velocity is 5 m/s moving downwards because the negative sign denotes downward movement or movement to the left.

The law of the conservation of mass states that the total mass before and after a
ehidna [41]

Answer:

reaction are equal.

Explanation:

The law of the conservation of mass states that the total mass before and after a reaction are equal.

In a reaction, the mass of the reactants are always equal to the mass of the products. Nothing ever disappears from the equation, although substances may become gas and "disappear" the air.

Calorimeter containing 1000 grans of water the initial temperature of water is 24.85 degrees . the heat of water is 4.184 j/g de
kvasek [131]

Answer;

10.80 ° C

Explanation;

From the information given;

Initial temperature of water = 24.85°C

Final temperature of water = 35.65°C

Mass of water = 1000 g

The specific heat of water ,c = 4.184 J/g °C.

The heat capacity of the calorimeter = 695 J/ °C

Change in temperature ΔT = 35.65°C - 24.85°C

                                             = 10.80°C

What is the pH of a solution made by mixing 200 mL of 0.025M HCl and 150 mL of 0.050 M HCl?
seraphim [82]

Answer:

The answer to your question is pH = 1.45

Explanation:

Data

pH = ?

Volume 1 = 200 ml

[HCl] 1 = 0.025 M

Volume 2 = 150 ml

[HCl] 2 = 0.050 M

Process

1.- Calculate the number of moles of each solution

Solution 1

                Molarity = moles / volume

-Solve for moles

                moles = 0.025 x 0.2

result

               moles = 0.005

Solution 2

               moles = 0.050 x 0.15

-result

                moles = 0.0075

2.- Sum up the number of moles

Total moles = 0.005 + 0.0075

                   = 0.0125

3.- Sum up the volume

total volume = 200 + 150

                     350 ml or 0.35 l

4.- Calculate the final concentration

Molarity = 0.0125 / 0.35

              = 0.0357

5.- Calculate the pH

pH = -log [H⁺]

-Substitution

pH = -log[0.0357]

-Result

pH = 1.45
