Answer:

s(4)=450

Explanation:

Given Data

a(t)=30t+8

at t=0 s(0)=14

at t=0 v(0)=13

s(4)=?

Solution

we know v is derivative of a

and s is derivative of v

a(t)=30t+8

derivative it we get

v(t)=15t^{2}+8t+c\\ put t=0\\v(0)=15(0)^{2}+ 8(0)+c\\v(0)=c\\c=13

so

v(t)=15t^{2}+8t+13

derivative it we get

s(t)=\frac{15}{3}t^{3}+4t^{2}+13t+c\\    t=0\\s(0)=\frac{15}{3}(0)^{3}+4(0)^{2}+13(0)+c\\s(0)=c\\c=14

so

s(t)=\frac{15}{3}t^{3}+4t^{2}+13t+14\\t=4\\s(4)=\frac{15}{3}(4)^{3}+4(4)^{2}+13(4)+14\\s(4)=450

A student witnesses a flash of lightning and then t=2.5s later the student hears assiciated clap of thunder. (please show work)
frosja888 [35]

Answer:

857.5 m

2.8583×10⁻⁶ seconds

Explanation:

Time taken by the sound of the thunder to reach the student = 2.5 s

Speed of sound in air is 343 m/s

Speed of light is 3×10⁸ m/s

Distance travelled by the sound = Time taken by the sound × Speed of sound in air

⇒Distance travelled by the sound = 2.5×343 = 857.5 m

⇒Distance travelled by the sound = 857.5 m

Time taken by light = Distance the light travelled / Speed of light

\text{Time taken by light}=\frac{857.5}{3\times 10^8}\\\Rightarrow  \text{Time taken by light}=2.8583\times 10^{-6}

Time taken by light = 2.8583×10⁻⁶ seconds

An iron cube has edge 15cm long at 20c .What will be? The new surface area of a face when the temperature rises to 80c
grigory [225]

Answer:

271cm^2

Explanation:

volume 1= 15^3 =3375

temp. 1. = 20+273 = 293

temp. 2. = 50+273 = 353

volume 2 =?

According to Charles law

volume is proportional to temperature

v2 = v1 * t2 / t1

v2 = 3375 * 353 / 293

v2 = 4066cm^3

v = area * length

4066 = area * 15

area = 4066/15 = 271cm^2

You perform an experiment in which you find out how much mass evaporates from a liquid when it is placed in direct sunlight or i
qaws [65]
The correct option is SCALE.
This is because the experimental data you are interested in is mass and scale is the instrument that is used to measure mass. To use the scale, measure the mass of your water before you put it inside the sun and measure the mass again after you remove it from the sun. The difference in mass is the quantity of water that is evaporated.
 There are different type of scale and the one that you use will depend on the size of the material that you want to measure.<span />
