You accelerate your 1500 Kg car from 2 m/s to 12 m/s in 2 seconds. How do you determine
laiz [17]
1) The acceleration

Acceleration = Change in Speed / Time
Acceleration = (12 - 2) / 2
Acceleration = 10 / 2
Acceleration = 5m/s^2 (This is the unit for acceleration)

2) Initial momentum

Momentum = Mass x Velocity
Momentum = 1500 x 2
Momentum = 3000kg m/s (This is the unit for momentum)

3) Final momentum

Momentum = Mass x Velocity
Momentum = 1500 x 12
Momentum = 18000kg m/s

4) Change in momentum

Change in momentum = Final momentum - Initial momentum
Change in momentum = 18000 - 3000
Change in momentum = 15000kg m/s

5) Force

Force = Mass x Acceleration
Force = 1500 x 5
Force = 7500N (This is the unit for force)

Hope that helps :)

I really need to know what is on the physics SOL please someone tell me
lawyer [7]

The term sol is used by planetary astronomers to refer to the duration of a solar day on Mars.[7] A mean Martian solar day, or "sol", is 24 hours, 39 minutes, and 35.244 seconds.[6]

“Sol” is often used as a direct replacement for “Day” when concerning Mars. Mission duration for Mars missions is measured in Sols, so saying “Today is Sol xyz” would be normal, but I’m not sure if anyone would say “what a wonderful Sol tomorrow is going to be”.

The rain shadow effect would be most evident in which direction relative to the rocky mountains?
timofeeve [1]
<span>The rain shadow effect would be most evident in the “Eastern” direction in relative to the Rocky Mountains.

A “Rain-Shadow” is a dry area that is formed on the side of the mountains which are away from the wind. The rain-producing weather systems are blocked by the mountains and a shadow of dryness is cast on that area, without much moisture left in the air.

The Continental Divide in America acts as a great barrier for precipitation.

The Rocky Mountains are a major mountain range that is present in the western North America and stretch for more than 3,000 miles across the northern part of British Columbia, western side of Canada, till New Mexico, in the South-Western part of the US.

The low pressure systems are known to approach from the south to skirt the Rocky Mountains. They generate high precipitation on the eastern side. However, there is little or no precipitation on the western slope.

C. Two persons A and B are pushing a block from opposite sides with
Stels [109]

Answer:

1 N

Explanation:

1) You'll just have to sum the force vectors, and since they are opposite, you'll calculate the difference of their magnitudes, in absolute value.

Ftot = |F1 - F2| = 6N - 5N = 1N

2)The direction will be the same as the greater force's direction.
