When adding and subtracting, significant figures rules say to have as many decimal places as the least amount in your data. So when you add them, round to one decimal place.  This is because 307.3 only has one number after the decimal place.

If you push a 900N refrigerator with the same force as you lift a 40N dumbbell, the dumbbell will move faster. Which of Newton’s
svetlana [45]

This is Newton's second law of motion.

It states that Force exerted on a moving object is directly proportional to its product of mass and acceleration.

i.e Force(F) = Mass(M) × Acceleration(A)

Because Force is constant here, reducing the weight of the body the force is applied to consequently reduces its mass.

If mass is reduced, the body's acceleration increases hence increasing its speed.

That is why the 40N dumbbell move faster.

How much power is used by car when it applies 40,000 J of work over a 5.6 second interval
Tcecarenko [31]

Answer:

7142.86W

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Work done by brake  = 40000J

Time taken = 5.6s

Unknown:

Power used by car  = ?

Solution:

Power can be defined as the rate at which work is done. It is mathematically expressed as;

        Power = \frac{work done }{time taken}

Now input the variables;

           Power  = \frac{40000}{5.6}   = 7142.86W
