Answer:

Add water to the lemon juice to dilute it.

Explanation:

pH value is the measure of alkalinity or acidity of a substance. The pH scale range from 0-14 . The lower the pH value the higher the acidity while the higher the pH value the higher the alkalinity. This simply means on the pH scale , if the pH value is 7 it depicts neutrality. 7 upwards indicates an increasing alkalinity while 7 downwards indicates an increasing acidity.

Acidic substance possess an hydrogen ion (H+) while alkaline substance possess more of hydroxide ions(OH-).

The pH value of lemon juice is usually low at a rate of 2 to 4 pH value . That simply means lemon juice is acidic and contains more hydrogen ions. The best option to increase the pH value of 2 is adding water molecule to neutralize it acidity content.

Adding water molecules(H20) will decrease the acidity and reduce the hydrogen ions that contributes to lemon's juice acidity and invariably increase it pH value.

A 100.0-mL flask contains 0.193 g of a volatile oxide of nitrogen. The pressure in the flask is 760 mmHg at 17°C. Is the gas NO,
cestrela7 [59]

Answer:

NO_2

Explanation:

Considering,

n=\frac{m}{M}

Using ideal gas equation as:

PV=\frac{m}{M}RT

where,

P is the pressure = 760 mmHg

V is the volume = 100.0 mL = 0.1 L

m is the mass of the gas = 0.193 g

M is the molar mass of the gas = ?

Temperature = 17 °C

The conversion of T( °C) to T(K) is shown below:

T(K) = T( °C) + 273.15

So,

T = (17 + 273.15) K = 290.15 K

R is Gas constant having value = 62.36367 L. mmHg/K. mol

Applying the values as:-

760\times 0.1=\frac{0.193}{M}\times 62.36367\times 290.15

M = 45.95 g/mol

This mass corresponds to NO_2. Hence, the gas must be NO_2.

The elements of a delta Hf of ___ kj\mole at standard temp and pressure
EastWind [94]

Answer:

One mole of a substance forms Instead of standard atmospheric pressure and temperature from its pure elements{ conditions being the same} then this change and enthalpy is known as enthalpy of formation.

Explanation:

The equation of this formation can let us know what actually happens

ΔH = ΔHf(products) - ΔHf (reactants)

Hence we can say this change in enthalpy formation is the difference between the sum of product and sum of reactants.
