I can't explain the like dissolves like part but the water and oil I can

when oil is poured into water the oil will stay at the top of the water meaning that water is more dense than oil

Water (H2O) is a polar molecule. Oil is a non-polar molecule which does not dissolve with water. Oil remains separate from water. Water is most attracted to other polar solutes that are capable of being dissolved in it.

A 1170.-gram sample of NaCl() completely reacts, producing 460. grams of Na(). What is the total mass of Cl2(g) produced?
777dan777 [17]
2 NaCl --------> 2 Na  + Cl₂

2 mol * 23 g Na = 46 g

2*35,5 g Cl = 71

 46 g Na --------- 71 g Cl₂
 460 g Na -------- ?

mass ( Cl₂) = 460 . 71 / 46

Mass (Cl₂) = 32660 / 46

m= 710 g of Cl₂

Modify isoleucine, below, to show its structure at pH 1 and pH 13.
NeTakaya
I have attached the answer

remember that when the solution is acidic, pH lower than 7. there are extra H+ that the amino acid can take. the basic part of the amino acid takes this extra hydrogen (the nitrogen).

when the pH is higher than 7, basic, there are not much H+ available. the amino acid loses a H+. the acid part of the amino acid loses the H (the carboxylic part).

The combustion of propane may be described by the chemical equation,
olasank [31]
\nu_{C_3H_8}=\frac{40.4}{\mu_{C_3H_8}}=
=\frac{40.4}{3A_C+8A_H}=\frac{40.4}{44}=
=\frac{9}{10}=0.9mol
1mol\ C_3H_8...5\ mol\ O_2 \\ 0.9mol\ C_3H_8...x\ mol\ O_2
x=\frac{0.9*5}{1}=4.5mol\ O_2
m=\mu_{O_2}*x=2*A_O*4.5=9*8=72g\ O_2
