Answer and explanation;

-Ecological succession is the process by which an environment changes structure, in terms of resident species, over a period of time. Ecological succession falls under two categories, primary and secondary, which determine the types of factors that are involved.

-The factors involved in ecological succession are either biotic or abiotic. Biotic factors are those that involve life and its aspects. Abiotic factors are those that involve aspects external to life but are still indirectly involved. An example of an abiotic factor would be climate.

The soil, an abiotic factor, of an environment affects ecological primary succession greatly. Different species of plants require different soil conditions.

Climate, an abiotic factor highly involved in both primary and secondary succession, plays a significant role in determining the direction of succession in an environment.

Any form of succession will change the environment. That's why there is succession in the first place. With each stage of succession there will be greater biodiversity that results in a change in abiotic factors like soil composition, shade, humidity, weather, exposure, etc

Will the heat produced in both the cases be equal.

Solution :

Heat released is given by :

H = i²Rt

Here, R is resistance and is given by :

R = \dfrac{\rho L}{A}

So,

H = i^2\times \dfrac{\rho L}{A} t\\\\H = \dfrac{i^2\rho Lt}{A}

Now, in the question every thing is constant except for the length of the wire and from above equation heat is directly proportional to the length of the wire.

So, heat produced by Reem's wire is more than Nain one.

Hence, this is the required solution.

In Longitudinal waves, particles of the medium vibrate around their mean positions. Their amplitude of vibration is in the direction of the propagation of the wave. In transverse wave of longitudinal wave, <em>the wavelength is always the distance between two particles which are in the same phase.</em>

If we take pressure waves, (sound waves), we have pressure variations created by sound wave along its path. Pressure is maximum at compression regions and pressure is minimum at rarefaction region. In between the two, pressure of air remains as the pressure when there is no wave.

<em>The wave length is then the distance between two consecutive rarefactions or two consecutive compression regions.</em>

<em>It is also the distance traveled by the wave in one time period.</em> Time period is the time the particles in the medium take to vibrate towards the end, turn back to reach the other end of their oscillation and then reach back their position.
